Is it too simplistic to suggest if Kompany doesn't return soon MP won't win anything with the ever changing defence?.

Yes. Kompany is a great player and leader but he's no magician. MP has completely lost it imo - what other reason could there be for him putting up with this crap?

At the moment Pellegrini can fall back on the "what's the problem, we're competing for four trophies" line - in three weeks time that might come down to two competitions, maybe even one. What's he going to fall back on then?

He asked for 'crack' players - he got them in KDB and Sterling. He has at his disposal some of the finest players in the game, and facilities that are second to none in which to train them. He is paid handsomely to prepare his players and tactics to gain the best out of them, and to at least compete with the best teams out there. He has at his disposal youngsters champing at the bit for a chance in the first team. And yet, he's failing spectacularly on every conceivable measure. Where's the fucking trajectory now?

I for one can not wait for this season to be over so that we can hopefully say to MP thanks but no thanks, and send him on his way.

I'm waiting for him to do a Mike Bassett and come flying in at a press conference and say 4 4 fucking 2, at least the football was good, attacking and less sideways, sideways, sideways, backwards.

He doesn't seem to have the ability to utilise the squad he has at his disposal properly.
Last night was the time to rest De Bruyne and Toure and Navas and Sterling should have started. He's so set in his ways that he feels he must play the strongest team in every single game and it results in pisspoor performances. Yaya and De Bruyne have played too many games and last night was one too many. They were both dreadful last night. I don't understand why the manager prioritises the league Cup so much. He doesn't have the intuition that the great managers have about when players need resting and when things need freshening up. He also never ever adapts his team according to the opposition. This can be a strength at times as if we are at our best, the players have the freedom to impose themselves. However, when the team is playing poorly as it is away from home at the moment, some tactical nous is badly needed.

Agree with most of this. He should rotate more and we should play a weakened team in the Capital One. We can't play 2 games in a week.

However, the players piss me off the most. Tossed off an FA Cup final to get Mancini sacked. Currently playing half arsed especially away from home. Nothing to do with tactics, just plain old lazy bastards. Maybe pellers should motivate them better but I would like to think some of them have more professional pride than they are showing.

Makes for a great 2nd leg, though I bet we go one down before we start playing.....

A dead man walking in more ways than one.

No he isn't. He's a top manager being let down by a bunch of arsehole players who can't be arsed doing their jobs. I refuse to blame the manager, because tactically he's made some excellent decisions that are often overlooked.

Last night was a prime example of the lack of effort and desire of the players. In the first 25 minutes when they actually could be arsed following the managers instructions they pegged Everton back. It was only when the likes of Silva and Yaya could no longer be arsed doing their job that Everton got a foothold in the game.

Segio looked over at the bench and shrugged his shoulders. It was a clear gesture of "what the f... is going on" On a more positive note I thought his movement off the ball was excellent tonight..though he got no service and there were signs he has recovered properly from his injury.

He looks to me like a player who has mentally left. Looks increasingly frustrated, isolated and depressed

True, Silva and Yaya (and Delph who had a shockingly bad game) most certainly got the pipes and slippers out.

Yes he is. If the players don't want to play for him then he's a gonner,no matter what people say or think, the minute he loses the dressing room he's gone, and that moment is almost here my friend
