I went back and looked at the team for the first 5 games of the season.

The common features were Vinny and Mangala in defence, Sterling and Navas on the wings, and Silva in the number 10 role. Yaya and Dinho played as the two in midfield. Kun played all but one of the games and Bony the other. Of course we lost the following game when Vinny was out, but this also coincided with Silva being injured. The following week against Spurs was KDB's first game.

In my view we have more or less struggled ever since.

If I were Pellegrini I would, as much as possible, go back to what worked at the beginning of the season. Particularly in attack I strongly believe he needs to play Navas and Sterling. They are our fastest players and they stretch defences. This in turn opens up space for Silva to weave his magic.

I appreciate that both Mangala and Vinny are out, so for me I think Pellegrini will have to revive our attack immediately. I know this means benching KDB, and this would not be a popular decision, but it's about the balance of the team in attack. We have an amazing winning percentage when Navas starts. For all his faults he adds speed to our team and that's a commodity we desperately need at the moment.

So come on Pellers. Look at what worked at the beginning of the season before our lads get completely demoralised.

i think the problems are deeper than simply team selection my friend

Agree with most of that although I'd be dropping Silva and moving KDB central. You don't drop the guy who creates and scores the most from midfield when you're struggling to create and score.

There are going to be some huge casualties over the next few transfer windows.

As fans we have allowed ourselves to be convinced that certain players are irreplaceable but they are not and a few of our so called Gods are going to be looking for new clubs in the near future imo.

Yes Pellegrini is finished, everyone knows that but if those players think they can perform like that for the next manager as well they can forget it.

I'm as disgusted in some of our so called heroes as I am the manager at the moment.

The only players coming out of yes tray with any credit were Sagna, Dinho and Aguero (given what he had to work with).

Mangala was also doing well up until his injury

That front 4 last night would have been out thought and out manoeuvred by an over 50's walking football side such was the complete lack of movement off the ball or runs made.

Disgrace.

Silva and KdB started the game by tracking runners and doing their bit defensively then on 15 mins, they thought fuck it, cant be arsed any more and the rest of the game is there for all to see.

Yaya had a complete nightmare and the 2nd half in particular from our captain was a disgrace.

Otamendi was our best player but fucking dived like a coward and cost us a goal and for that alone he should have been withdrawn, never mind Mangala.

MdM wouldn't get in an over 50's walking football side any more. No legs, no football brain and no appetite for it any more.

We dont defend as a team and we dont fucking attack as a team any more.

Fucking pissed off.

Who are the Gods who will get peddled then?

I only see Yaya myself

You saying Silva,Aguero,Kompany, Zabba should be worried?

We dont have anymore Gods as you call them apart from those listed.

Shite like Kolorov,Bony, Fernando & Navas i agree with you , then you have the 30 somethings who will naturally be replaced anyway.
