Navas is key to this season being a success or not.

His pace, work ethic and desire to keep stretching the play affords our handful of lazy players more time to recover.

Why are some of them lazy?

Is it because they are not fit / conditioned enough and never will be up to what is required or they are lazy mentally and again will never step up to the mark.

We are struggling to be a side feared by most irrespective of whether we have possession or not.

For years us fans have been baffled by referee decisions, some clearly biased and the club has done nothing. We are far too nice and too easy to give things against as the refs know we wont moan or crowd them. How we had that muppet again last night in charge for him to screw us again sums it up. If it had been utd and ferguson he wouldnt ref them again for years.
However, the club have this hollistic approach and we just bend over and take it and we have to accept that.
Now Pellagrini has starting to moan about officials, rightly so, but something he has not done before just has me feeling he has no idea how to turn things round and is now deflecting the blame.
Its like a few weeks ago when he moaned about injuries and fixtures yet refuses to play youth.
Id get rid now as he will not keep us in the top 4 this season. Its a wonder we are where we are but take away those scuffy winners v norwich and swansea in injury time and 2 minutes against Watford and it could be alot worse.
I just dont see things improving under him.

I truly feel sorry for MP- - he can't win either way. We have some serious head up arses players at the moment - you can see it in his eyes as to how much they are fucking things up. The lack of movement from Yaya, Silva & KDB at times was embarrassing. Static when being pressed.

We totally played into their hands.

Although we still had enough good chances to make a difference - The Aguero chance being the big one, at least hit the target!!!

I'm not sure how much you can blame the manager - defensive mistakes - their second goal - we went to sleep in the build up wanting Everton to kick it out as Lukaku was hobbling. They carried on - roll forward 30 seconds and the scored!! Fucking scandalous - these players are letting not just us fans down but manager, coaching staff & the owners.

I love Yaya & Silva but they are taking too many extra touches when we have better options and then pass at the wrong time.. Too frustrating - we have wanted too many clear moments to gain advantage by slowing play down.

I've said it all season - we are becoming a 1 in 5 hit target team but that has not necessarily meant we score.

I still have faith we will win something this year, but it means these players pulling their fingers out and putting proper shifts in as a team. To think they maybe auditioning for a role next season and still can't be arsed.

Some have also been more luxury players, Some are getting old, some have been overplayed and are tired.

Sterling should be in the same boat as Navas here in my book. Always puts a shift in defensively, never stops running.

It's cos the manager let's them get away with it. Also possibly because he's said the season only starts in February so they think what's happening now doesn't really matter, so why put the effort in?

Does Pellegrini ever get angry and tear a strip off his players?
I'm not sure if we'd ever witness this without a live feed from within the dressing room at halftime or full time. I did once see him on the 'tunnel cam' footage which is put up on the OS when we play at home. I can't remember what game it was but iirc he was giving Nasri a proper bollocking about something as he and the players were coming out for the second half. He also got a little bit animated against Watford when he wanted Demichelis to get undressed quickly in order to come on as a sub. I think he holds his own council with these types of scenarios and we're unlikely to really know if he bollocks players until one of the lads writes about him in a future biography.

He said we deserved to win last night - surely he must see we were awful? Apart from the first 20mins when the players looked determined and other odd spells. Obviously we don't know what he's like in the changing rooms but I just don't get any sense whatsoever that he is a good motivator at this level. I'm sure one of the most important qualities Pep will bring is managing the physiological aspect of the squad.

As injuries and form stand...

ZABBA......SAGNA......OTAMENDI........KOLAROV
................FERNANDINHO...DELPH.....
NAVAS.............SILVA/KDB..............STERLING
...................AGUERO.................

Clichy surely ahead of Kolarov.

Since the positive start he's regressed last seasons form. Incredibly slow running backwards, his crossing has been awful - and that's when he doesn't just decide to hit it as hard as he can at the keepers near post.

At best he's overplayed because of Clichy's long injury layoff, at worst he's been lazy and in crap form.

Strikes me as just wanting an easy ride at the moment. Iheanacho shoulda come on against leicester instead of bony but pelle didn't have the balls. I wonder if it was partly because Bony had a whinge in the press and he knew if he'd have played Kelechi Bony wouldn't have been happy, so he went with the easy option and took the draw knowing he wouldn't get grief off Bony

Then there's Yaya playing every single game when he was goosed last night and should not have played. Is it because Yaya wouldn't have been happy not starting a semi? He was hopeless last night, might as well have saved him for Saturday.

I thought last night was a good time to drop one of Silva or de Bruyne (who haven't particularly clicked together yet) in favour of having Navas and Sterling on the flanks but I don't think he's got the bollocks to drop Silva, Sterling or de Bruyne so we shoe horn them in and play a team lacking in width and work rate down the flanks. This will probably last until Pellegrini fucks off and will be detrimental to the team

His comments about the season starting in february also pissed me off and it's no wonder we're getting below par performances when he's too lazy/not arsed about kicking them into gear, instead hoping that things will just come together in february. Let's just hope we're not too far behind arsenal that we can't make the lost ground back up when pellegrini thinks the league starts, ey?

Yeah this is exactly how I see it...
