Genuine question here - is there not a growing worry about the overall mentality/attitude of a number of your players that they are seemingly downing tools under Pellegrini's leadership, just like they did towards the end of Mancini's reign?
This isn't as though you have brought in managers of the David Moyes ilk, who have zero success for players to look up to. Mancini & Pellegrini are managers of European calibre, who have won trophies and shown they are capable of making their teams play attractive football, yet there seems to be an underlying issue amongst the players.
Was talking to a (City supporting) mate of mine last night and I said that you are simply a poor team without the ball, to which he agreed, and I believe it's hard not to. But why is that?
Tactics?
Incapable management?
Uninterested players?
Not trying to make a dig here BTW, just curious to what you think of it?
I still think you'll win the league if I am perfectly honest (as I am banking on the standard Arsenal collapse), but I don't think's a particularly difficult league to win. If any of the top PL teams this season had performed consistently to the levels the players, on paper, should do, then they'd be in control of this league - this most certainly applies to City.
