shame that so many will be glad to see the back of him and many, in seasons to come, will look back with very little sympathy/fondness despite him bringing trophies and some of the best footy ever played by MCFC

It's not really important. He came to do a job. He'll go out the front door with the club's best wishes. Pep will have a side he can work with. We may even have another couple of trophies.

I think in the greater scheme of things how pockets of the supporter base feel about MP won't matter a jot to him the club or our future.

You can't be fond of someone who doesn't reach out to you, fans like a 2 way relationship with managers if they are going to adore them

I couldn't really give a shit if he reaches out to me or brings all the players to the stand and the all hold hands etc. I'm more concerned about him reaching out to the players and getting them to stop fucking about and play with the tempo his expecting.

I'm more interested in what happens on the pitch -

I was answering why we won't look on him fondly when he goes not his ability as a manager which is currently sadly lacking

fair enough, like you say i have never warmed to him but am still very grateful. ah well, times move (very swiftly) on!

Horses for courses - I will look very fondly upon his time here - But that is my opinion. I still believe the majority will appreciate his time here.

I am not of the opinion his ability is lacking. He is being badly let down by some players (not intentionally) who are just not delivering. Our main engine is dis-functioning. The one thing which is apparent (like Mancini) he is stubborn and a Plan B is sadly lacking and we have some mentally weak players.

I am hoping (praying) - like our previous 2 league wins - the players pull the fingers out and get the job done. We have been in this place below.

I think he has also brought more respect to the club from outside, we don't see the Mancini, Tevez, Balotelli type headlines and I believe other managers coaches look at us differently because of respect he has from coaches, players and managers throughout Europe. We are now in a position to attract the very best coaches and players, because of these Pellegrini years we weren't when he took over. I will look back fondly as an important part of our progress just as Mancini was.

Navas 1 goal 5 assists this season
KDB 11 goals 14 assists
Fernandinho 3 goals 2 assists
Sterling 9 goals 6 assists

So you think his stats warrant more starts?

Like i say-no end product

The most interesting stats are those of how we've performed with him and without him. Results show that in games where he starts we generally win. Games where he doesn't start we win less often and many of those wins have come after he has been brought on as a sub.

These figures are taken from the Navas thread:

If we look at the league:

Matches with Navas starting: 8 wins 2 losses. 80% win rate.
Matches without Navas starting: 4 wins 3 draws 3 losses. 40% win rate.

Including cups:

Matches with Navas starting: 5 wins 1 loss. 83.33% win rate.
Matches without Navas starting: 2 win 2 losses - both wins were against Gladbach, and both we were losing before Navas came on. 50% win rate

Totals:
Navas starts 13 wins 3 losses 0 draws. 81.25% win rate.
Navas doesn't start 6 wins 5 losses 3 draws; with 2 wins occuring from losing positions only after Navas came on. 42.85% win rate
