Why set the team up for crossing the ball into the box when we don't have any tall players in the box... We have an Aguero and he is amazing, here's a crazy idea.. why not (when he plays) set the team up around him?

Clean sheet at least?!

That tactical change could've just as easily ended up in a defeat.

Yes but worth the gamble? Risking 1 to try and get the extra 2. If it was the last game of the season and we needed the points he would have done it, so it just looks like he thinks that 1 point was worth it.

I hope that at the end of the season we have one or two honours in the bank and we can all say that keeping everyone fresh as possible considering a bad injury run was what allowed us to finish the season strongly.
Maybe we will say that with the imminent exit of Pelle for Pep the whole thing was handled with great strategy and foresight.
I truly hope so but the nervous on here are starting to grow in number.

I was watching documentary about Graham (Turnip) Taylor the other day. One of the things he said was that when your team wins, the players get the praise. When the team doesn't win, the manager gets the blame.
Of course. The reason why is simple. It's always an easier fix to fire 1 manager, and easier to get one better or of equal quality. However, its a lot harder to bin half a squad.

Yes, and that will make him a smart coach. If this was the 2nd leg of the Cup game, sure it would make sense. But asking him to go all Arsenal circa 2009 is silly, especially when there was a good chance he could get the results without doing that.

And but for the gutless ref, he probably would have.

I expect if we go out of the carling cup next week the usual (now) few on here will be like we are still in 3 trophies etc etc but let's be honest we ain't gonna win the champs league so we will be in two. And given that we dont seem able to win against our closest rivals with mp on board added to the way we are actually playing can anyone be confident he can win us the league? I accept we our third my point is with another manager in this position id be confident with mp I'm not at all because he does not seem to be making any progress in terms of performance. I also accept that we are stuck with him and that's frustrating.

the KDB sub came way too late for me, you could see Kev was blowing out of his arse and everything he touched was wayward. Silva's introduction ensured we were encamped outside their box. However you can sympathise cos Kevin can pull something out of nothing, but perhaps it was plain to see he was off his game last night.

thought the team setup was decent, Fernando was a good choice over delph as Fernando's total lack of ambition to go forward was exactly what the team needed in terms of balance.

"I wouldn't sack him now, because we're still fighting on four fronts. If we ended up winning nothing then I would replace him in the summer. All hypothetical of course, because I'm convinced Guardiola is coming regardless of how this season pans out."

After watching this club be mismanaged for years, it now appears that we have a board with a short, medium & long term plan.
To sack MP at this stage of the season would put throw those plans into chaos and would in my opinion be madness, thankfully I don't see any sign of madness with this board.

I work in football - this club now has an enviable reputation for the way it is being run, long may that continue and for what its worth I am also convinced Pep will be here in the summer, simply because the plan has been in place for some time.
Have faith in this board, they will make this club into the one we have dreamt of for years.
