Never have i said sack him just give him a rocket up his arse if only to get him standing up lol

Thats not fair as he stands up a lot, even if its just to get the blood flowing in his dead legs again as well you know ;-)

Genuine question.

If we got confirmation this afternoon that Pep is coming in the summer, not that we need it, do those not happy with Pellgrini still want him sacked right away and an interim brought in with no guarantees whatsoever that the season will pan out differently, in fact it could pan out far worse?

Thats very much the situation we as a club are in right now and for me, its ridiculous to sack a manager so close to a natural change any way it really is.

If we have success this season thats fantastic and he goes with his head held high and if we dont, he is gone any way so who gives a fuck!
Personally I wouldn't bother sacking him now unless we really looked like we were slipping out of the top 4. I still don't think that is impossible given the way we are playing but we do at least seem to be doing enough to stave of that particular catastrophe. IMO essentially the ship has already sailed, he should have been jettisoned in the summer when we might have been able to get someone reasonable to come in as an interim for a full season. But that doesn't stop me from being frustrated that he is still our manager and I certainly don't think "he's going in the summer so who gives a fuck" because I would actually like to see our team of very good players perform to somewhere near their potential this season.

It's a fair point and it could only be considered if we were in severe danger on missing out of a Chumps League spot however I don't believe that Pep coming or not will be contingent on where we finish this year so I would be very surprised no matter how we go from here on in if MP was replaced before seasons end.

With all sides dropping points on a regular basis its going to be fairly tight for spots until the death and even the likes of West Ham would fancy themselves for a top four finish at this stage of the season.

No point in sacking him at this time. There was no point in sacking him this season either really if Pep is deffo coming. No guarantees an interim manager would improve things. What you gain in one area you could just as easilly lose in another.

I just wish Pep had joined us two years ago.

Edit: of course, as Mancity1 says, if it looked very likely we were going to miss out on a Champ's Lg place, then a desperate rescue act from a caretaker manager would be worth a go.

But I don't see that. I still think we'll win the league.

Agree completely fella.

I always maintained that Pellegrini was a safe pair of hands until pep arrived and that now looks the case.

Whilst by no means perfect, he has done a little more than just hold the fort and as a club we are about to go to the next level and its mouth watering.

Happy days.

It's a fucking forum, & the topic on this thread is ' MANUEL PELLEGRINI' .

If people are not allowed to discuss him & give their opinions, good or bad, right or wrong, what is the fucking point of this place existing ?

What exactly are you contributing by turning up purely to cheerlead for a bloke who isn't on here & has no fucking idea you even exist ?

You are on a fucking discussion forum, telling people they should not discuss a topic, then claiming to be the one who is sensible. Yet you are here. To do what exactly ?

An exercise in futility. People are having a natter about Pellegrini, you have fuck all to contribute, no answers for any kind of reasonable debate & you are here telling people not to talk about it.

Why ? For God's sake what is the matter with you ?

If you think the criticisms of Pellegrini are wrong, then argue your point. If you don't think we should discuss it, say so & then fuck off.

Outstanding fucking rant. Arsed though.

Thank fuck Chelsea and United are imploding as it would be a fucking reality about dropping out of the top four, for the past 12 months we have regressed as a football team despite spending £150 million on players.

Roll on June!

I did just add to that post: if we were in the shit & looked like missing top 4 then a caretaker might be worth a desperate go.

But I still make us favourites for the league & don't think that will arise.
