Might be naive but guordiola managed a side with arguably greatest player of all time, along with players like inesta, xavi and other world class players at barca, and at bayern he inherited champions league winners and failed when bayern came against their real match in madrid... moreover if we expect sincerity from our players we should show the same towards a manager who has already won us the league and taken our overall play to next level
If that were the case then Pellegrini would never have come here in the first place...

Guardiola is a top, top manager. The lazy excuse is to say he inherited teams but ask yourself why those top teams choose to employ him in the first place?

He's the best manager out there, you just have to listen to the players he's managed. To say you wouldn't swap Pellegrini for Guardiola is a lovely sentimate but utterly delusional and naive.

Perhaps the same should have been extended to the previous manager!

So because Sterling was bought for a high transfer fee it means he's a number 9 and great at scoring headers from 6 yards out...???

Maybe we should have thrown Mangala up front, he's our 3rd most expensive player...

Who said any of that?

Anyway, it's irrelevant what position they play as both of the chances missed were straightforward.

Striker or not, no.9 or no.10, it doesn't matter.

Im pretty sure there are alot of players who will have good things to say about pellers, and lets put having messi and other world class players at barca a side, what is his acheivement at bayern? Winning tbe league title in one team league? And getting thrashed in cl semis? Big sam would win the german league easily with bayern squad

So why do teams play with centre forwards? Why not just play your 11 most expensive players?

So we are discrediting managers who have great players at their disposal and ignoring their influence on their ability?

OK, then let's take Aguero and Silva out for starters because Pellegrini got lucky they were already here. Yaya was already here and he's one of the best midfielders the league's ever seen.

Also, you're being lazy with your excuses. "Big Sam would win the Bundesliga with Bayern"... Would they employ him in the first place? No, they chose Pep for good reason, because he managed and brought about an unprecedented period of utter domination for Barca both domestically and in Europe.

We were arguing about guordiola acheivements and ability, point is not wheather they would employ big sam or not, point is he would have won the german league as well with bayern squad or you think he wouldnt? There is a difference between having few world class players and having a whole squad including the best player in the world? Based on our current squad, how many of our players you think would make barca or bayern 1st team? Aguero, silva, debruyne, kompany and toure arguably, ? And how many bayern n barca players would make our starting 11? I dont want to answer....moreover manuel didnt inherited a cl winning team, and in his 3rd seazon we are finally able to say atleast now we can compete at european stage with the big boys which is not his fault that it took so much time, cant get my head around this that what manuel has done this season to deserve talk of being replaced, top of both tables, and still in the cup
