Once i saw the line up I thought we were up against it ,we were totally embarrassed the score line does not tell the full story .I just don't no what went through the manager shead to pick that team against that oposition

Out.

Fernandinho and Otamendi not starting because they played 2 games in the international break and flew......like most players around the world.

Sergio shouldn't have started although im glad he scored.

Appalling first half, can't remember a first half so bad....oh wait....villa away.

Pellegrini will win us the league but fuck me, he is so tactically inept and even naieve.

I like the guy on a personal level, and I've enjoyed the football we've played under him. He is though horribly stubborn, aDemichelis was on the ssber of times he has picked teams with no heed as to how the opposition plays has now reached critical mass. When the team sheets were read out today, there were Blues all around me shaking their heads in disbelief at the prospect of what we all knew was to come. A 6 man midfield swarm (standard Klippety fare) up against Ya Ya in a central midfield two. I called 3-0 to the dippers before we kicked off, the bloke next to me called 4. The decision to 'rest' our best defender in favour of a 36 year old, when a team full of relentless harriers were in town, was merely crass. The decision to omit Fernandinho bordered on actual sabotage. We improved after the requisite changes were made at half time, but in all honesty Liverpool could still have scored 7 or 8. Liverpool away last season, United away, Barca at home, Spurs away, Liverpool at home this season, our record in the big games under Pellegrini is at best poor, and that's becoming the most telling aspect of his tenure. He's good, but he's fatally flawed, condemned to make the same basic mistakes again and again, and for that reason we need to dispense with his services as soon as Pep or Ancelotti shows an interest. He was schooled today in embarrassing fashion. His team, his tactics, his responsibility.

Couldn't have expressed it any better, not a word out of place for how i saw it today. The only plausible excuse is that he may be following orders to prioritise the Juve game? Demichelis was on the same Argentinian trip as Otamendi, has not played in 5/6 weeks? what other reason would he leave him(Ota) out other than to save him for Wednesday, particularly when Vince is also out? Dinho should always play in tough games, if he needs a rest make it against the so-called easier /bottom half teams. Yaya looks done in these games. What is the most frustrating, is whatever about bad luck(ref Villa & Guzans bonce, or KdB's inexplicable back heel flick effort), shooting ourselves in the foot is totally unforgiveable. Pellers is a dead man walking for me.

To his credit he sorted it out at half time. Absurd opening two goals, but Toure in the middle was wrong. We were also hampered by injuries. We were on the back foot from the first minute. Delph and Fernandinho should have started

150m spent and we're 1 point worse off than last season after winning the first 5 games..............

if only there was a top class manager like Ancelotti without a club!

How did he?!? They scored another and hart made two great saves. Yet again he loses a big game in abysmal fashion. Team selection appalling, in game management appalling. Every time he faces a coach with a bit of something about them tactically he gets found out. embarrassing today to give him any credit is a joke

Sorted it out?

Mangala was still absolutely all over the place and they could/should have scored another 3 in the second half too.

After the Villa game Pellegrini excuses his absurd decision not to bring Kalechi on for Bony by stating that he 'can't play as a lone striker'. So what does he go and do in the next game.. Yes, puts him on as a lone striker at home to Liverpool at 3-1.

He made a total tit of himself today and not starting Fernandinho/Otamendi was absolutely fucking criminal.
