Before the match, everyone posted their preferred team selections on here and on Twitter as usual. 9 of 11 of the team picked was the same as what most fans were asking for. The 2 changes were Demichelis and Fernando instead of Otamendi and Fernandinho - both flew back from internationals late. Bad day at the office and I'm looking forward to Manuel becoming the first City manager to win 2 league championships.
What if one of our CBs got injured after 5 mins, was Otamendi fit enough to take his place and play 85mins? If not why was he on the bench and if he was fit enough why the fuck wasn't he starting?

Perhaps the manager thought a fit Demichelis was a better option than an tired Otamendi who hadn't trained. But a tired Otamendi was better than no sub CB.

No one would have started Demichelis or Toure in the formation we had. He cost us the game today and that could be very costly

Mate, you keep reading what I've written and keep interpreting into something to suit what you want me to say. Let me make it clear for you. Kompany gives City his all on and off the pitch, aside from where it comes to Belgium. Many times when he should have taken the sensible decision to sit out meaningless Internationals and concentrate on his fitness, he's gone against our manager's decision and played for Belgium putting his recovery at risk.

I'm a City fan and if I was fortunate enough to be in Kompany's position, City would come first last and always as I don't give a fuck about International football. In this respect Kompany has shown on many occasions that when given the choice of doing what suits City or Belgium, Belgium come first every time.

He shown that he was fit when he played for his country so who's saying he isn't fit? Then he was dropped against Bournemouth why? Punishment maybe?

A tired Otamendi didn't have to be on the bench if that was the case, Sagna has filled in at CB before and we had Zaba and Clichy as full back options. It makes no sense at all to me.

I've always been a big Pellers fan but he got it wrong today. He paired our two worst central defenders with our two most immobile midfielders and hay presto, the nippy opponents passed through us like we were giant trees in a huge field. Liverpool could have scored 6 or 7 today!

Is Mancini available? At least he would change tactics during a game.

I couldn't care less whether Kompany or Hart didn't like him, at least he created a consistent winning team mentality.

Now I dread when we have big games, we all know Pellegrini is tactically inept ("engineer" my arse)!
Reminds me of the game against the Rags when one of our got red card and the way he improvised his tactic was just amazing.
Even though we lost the game ,it felt like a win.
