If Stoke would of put away the very clear chances they created, it would of been 5-0, this thread would be on lockdown.

And sell half the squad in January? Haha

Seriously though, could do with fucking the season off and getting a caretaker manager, this will only get more frustrating I think. Hope I'm wrong obviously.
What do you mean half the squad? the players that were here under Mancini are either playing wank or are always injured.

I would take anybody as caretaker. Hiddink, Capello or the next non league manager that gets sacked. They couldn't possibly have less of an impact on the squad that MP

Personally would only sack him now if Ancelotti is interested (or maybe Hiddink til the end of the season), apart from those two struggling to see a realistic manager who would not be too much of a gamble.

Problem we've got this year is the improvement of Spurs, Liverpool and Leicester, meaning the margin for error to stay in the top four is considerably less than it was last season.
Whilst I think keeping Pellegrini MAY stop us winning the league, sacking him could pose the greater threat to our place in the top four, which longer term would be a bigger blow than missing out on the title.

If he does stay, I think how successful we are will come down to how many injuries we get (and who to), and to the desire and character of the players.

Disagree with those saying he should have gone ages ago. Winning the double in his first season earned him the right to try and rebuild from the issues last season. Sadly it looks more and more apparent each week that we've failed to do that. Especially in defence - the extent to which we seemingly rely on one man (no matter how good he is) is ridiculous.

Sitting on his hands every game doesn't help the perception. If we don't score first away then we struggle. It was game over after the 2nd goal today. The rest of the game was totally predictible.

Jason denayer, that's who mate, joke decision.
We lost Denayer because we went out and bought Otamendi. Who has turned out to be a great signing

The trouble is Mangala and Kompany got injured, and Demichelis who was intended as cover is ending up playing. I would not play him.

I fear Pellegrini is extremely stubborn and will just keep playing Demichelis and wont look at alternatives

The situation is not so bad to warrant change of manager. We will win the league if the injured players return, and have a great chance of going to Wembley again. Plus there's the Champions League. t the start of the season, pellegrini was in everyone's good books. What's gone wrong is that we have not responded to the injuries well. That is in part Pellegrini's fault because he's used players he should not have done, but in part it's just bad luck, or bad training, or having players on the books who are weak (if there is such a thing, I don't think there is)

My slant is we dont have a great squad and I stick by that.
We have a good squad in terms of the premier league. Trouble is we have absolutely no defensive organization. Look at the one today where stoke hi the post. Sagna was standing next to de bruyne about 10 yards over the half way line, demichelis was over where Sagan should be and hence our center backs were 35 yards apart with arnaultovic between them.
It was not even schoolboy defending. It is a complete lack of organization and coaching.
