Would it really be such a bad idea to appoint Kiddo till the end of the season?

Pellegrini has a 67% win ratio.

The truth is only a handful of men are capable of replacing and there is no need for out right panic.

He is talking like a dead man talking.

A lot more painful results like today if we stick with him for the remainder of the season.

But lets get some perspective , we have a small lightweight midfield not suited to any side that presses , applies pressure and has speed like Stoke did today , a defence that is slow and lacks leadership and an ability to organise ( Stoke should have scored 6 today ) and a injury suspect strike force with little depth.

Massive overhaul needed.
Our midfield should we play Delph, Fernandinho and Fernando could overpower any midfield. They are as strong and competitive as any midfield.

Before he came here had anyone honestly heard of him? I know who he managed after he came of course but prior no. Regardless of whether you liked Mancini or not did anyone think ''Wow!This is a great appointment for the club?'' We need a top class young innovative exciting manager, tactically adept and who can change things and motivate a squad of players who many experts say is the best in this league but often under achieve. The sooner this happens the better or i fear we will have another wasted year and some of us are getting too old to suffer many more!

I am at the point where I think pretty much anything's worth a try. We're almost the polar opposite of Liverpool under Klopp. They're a team far greater than the sum of its parts, we're one that's far far less. Maybe a fit Kun and a fit Kompany will help turn things around, but at the moment we're a team that's managed just 14 points from the last 10 games, we were outplayed for significant parts in at least 2 of the games we won, and we haven't scored an away goal in over 400 minutes. I just can't see us finishing above Liverpool, Arsenal, Spurs and even the rags or Leicester at the moment I'm afraid, and sadly I can only see it getting worse.

Your misery always cheers me but one day you might be right; which is a worry.

The other guy I would look at right now on an interim basis, as a number 2, is Steve Clarke. Don't think he worked with Gus at Chelsea but he and Gus, with Kiddo, might work as a holding option.

Yes.

Too many times we play without any hunger, any desire and any passion. Our tactics for a lot of games appear to be "we've got better players, so we'll win".

We've all seen at Liverpool an example of how much of a difference a top manager makes. A top manager with this squad and we could be a truly great team. Just look at our front four!

Pellegrini's lack of faith in youth is pretty embarrassing. Loaning Denayer out and keeping Demichelis was a shocking, shocking decision. Demichelis is finished and, with Kompany's well known injury record, Denayer would have got lots of games. Bony was poor once again today, yet Iheanacho doesn't get too much of an opportunity. Just look at the 0-0 Villa game, that was terrible management not to bring Iheanacho on when Bony got injured.

We can do better than Pellegrini. He's not a bad manager, but he's not a top manager. Never in a million years. We really missed out by not replacing Pellegrini with Klopp in the summer. Are we still waiting for Pep? I think Pochettino would be perfect for us.

Interesting stats but for me, our full backs are a major weakness. On @Marvin point of Vinnys fitness being an embarrassment, i cant help but think the falling out over his Belgium appearance was far worse then we ever thought.
was going to post along the same lines, when your captain and manager have a fallout its gotta impact on the whole club

The biggest problem is under Mancini we used to defend the 18yd box & it was virtually impossible to get behind us, especially away from home we'd play on the counter & score hatfulls of goals. Defending was worked on as much if not more than attacking, it was a joy to watch the best teams throw everything at us while bouncing off our well drilled defence . Now, we have slow c.halfs & defend up near the half way line, it's suicide & could be put right with a half tactically minded manager.

Hiddink had 74% in his interim post at Chelsea. Won the FA Cup too

No doubt but we have an owner and senior management team that will have a view on this and possibly, plans fulfilled with pep coming in the summer.

Regardless, there is no need for panic.

Did you not see Fernando today? A strategically placed traffic cone would have been more effective.
