Kompany's fitness is embarrassing. he must feel awful watching from the stands, because if he was playing we'd be mile s clear.

It really does come down to one position which Kompany, and to an extent Mangala could fill if he was alongside Otamendi.

The full backs are OK.

Our left backs are among the top ten most consistent players of recent years in the league; in fact they are virtually the only defenders in that ranking.

We lost Denayer because we went out and bought Otamendi. Who has turned out to be a great signing

The trouble is Mangala and Kompany got injured, and Demichelis who was intended as cover is ending up playing. I would not play him.

I fear Pellegrini is extremely stubborn and will just keep playing Demichelis and wont look at alternatives

The situation is not so bad to warrant change of manager. We will win the league if the injured players return, and have a great chance of going to Wembley again. Plus there's the Champions League. t the start of the season, pellegrini was in everyone's good books. What's gone wrong is that we have not responded to the injuries well. That is in part Pellegrini's fault because he's used players he should not have done, but in part it's just bad luck, or bad training, or having players on the books who are weak (if there is such a thing, I don't think there is)

That's my point mate, denayer should never have gone, mdm should never of stayed.

Yesterday he said we don't need to spend in January because uor squad is enough. Today he said we only have 14/15 players available for every game. That logic...

He is talking like a dead man talking.

A lot more painful results like today if we stick with him for the remainder of the season.

But lets get some perspective , we have a small lightweight midfield not suited to any side that presses , applies pressure and has speed like Stoke did today , a defence that is slow and lacks leadership and an ability to organise ( Stoke should have scored 6 today ) and a injury suspect strike force with little depth.

Massive overhaul needed.

We need to play through these difficult patches in the season. it's how you handle these moments that determines what you end up with at the end of the season. We need to limit the damage, and make sure that when the players return and the team picks up we are in touching distance and in as many competitions as possible

We're lucky Utd, Chelsea are even worse. Unlike them we at least know that our problems are temporary. Their problems are fundamental

I cannot believe that this group of players would be this bad under a better manager. Not just that shit we saw today but the embarrassments against Spurs and Liverpool.

Owners just need to pull the trigger on Pellegrini and get Ancelotti in, even if it's just to the end of the season. Then if Pep doesn't come, keep Ancelotti. We're going to be in the shit if we're just waiting in hope and Pep doesn't come or changes his mind. Fucking hell I bet even Pardew would have us playing better than this.

Interesting stats but for me, our full backs are a major weakness. On @Marvin point of Vinnys fitness being an embarrassment, i cant help but think the falling out over his Belgium appearance was far worse then we ever thought.
