Haha. Very good.

He should last to the end of the season by default ......

Although simplistic, some interesting stats comparing between this and last season.

On the attacking front, we've scored 2 less goals, so could be seen as negligible. However the shots in the box percentage has dropped from 65.93% to 59.75% of all attempts, but our attempts on target has risen from 32.59% to 35.68%. Our attempts per goal has stuck around 8, but we now have on average 16 attempts per game compared to 18 last year, and 9.6 in box attempts compared to 11.87 last year. So we were more profligate last year with our in box attempts, but were seemingly creating better opportunities to score. Whilst it evens it out in terms of goals, I think it shows we're struggling to create as many clear-cut in box opportunities.

On the flip side, the in box attempts of our opponents has risen from 55.56% last year to 62.50% of all attempts this year. The attempts on target has similarly risen from 30.25% to 40.83% this year. Their attempts per goal has dropped from 11.57 last season to 7.50, meaning they actually require less attempts to score against us than we did to score against them. The attempts on target per goal, and attempts in the box per goal, have both dropped from last season, meaning that the opposition are becoming more clinical with their best opportunities, or alternatively we're providing more clear-cut chances. We actually concede fewer attempts per game (10.8 in 14/15 to 8 this season) but the attempts on target per game remains the same, whilst the in box attempts are down from 6 to 5 per game. We now concede just over 1 per game, rather than just under last season.

So in summary, we're less profligate this year, but create less of the clearer in-box attempts. On the flip side, we present more in-box opportunities to our opponents, who have become more effective in hitting the target, and in scoring. We have also now reached the point where we are easier to score against than it is for us to score. So we present fewer opportunities, but concede from more of them.

Shots Goals scored and goals conceded doesn't actually paint the picture, we're far more prone this season to concede clear-cut chances that result in goals, thus meaning the outcome of the game is more likely to be affected (as result have proven). Just a statistical confirmation of our struggles really.

You love a stat, JMW.

No, I don't disagree. I'm a pragmatist.

I'm a defeated moderator who can't understand where the previous culture of mocking really stupid shit when it was posted has gone and makes barely registering efforts to keep it up. I don't know what's happened to the fanbase or maybe even the whole football fandom at large over the last 10ish years but it feels like everybody has stopped trying and now just shouts stupid shit at each other without thinking. We need to install that system that forces people to listen to the post they've just read before they post it

All I know is that we need to sack the manager, the board (obviously), the medical staff, a few of the fringe players at the club, somebody before said we should essentially sack Pep Guardiola if he doesn't join in December despite him neither working for us or having any backup plan for this, sack the mods, sack you, sack the shorts, sack Corbyn and Cameron, sack the agents, sack the journos, sack the press office, sack Chappy for some reason, sack Belgium, sack the CFG and just in case he didn't get the message, reemploy the manager and sack him again.

Only then will we have the success and stability that we crave.

He's moaning about injuries and fatigue on Sky Sports just now.

I cannot bear listening to it.

When at the start of the season he was saying things like we'll be fine going into the season with 3 strikers, one of which he doesn't consider a striker anymore.

He needs a medical exam, I think Alzheimer's is starting to set in aha.

Memory loss - check
Difficulty with thinking - check
Difficulty with problem solving - check

We also need to train in a wind tunnel!
