The line that grates me more than anything during Pellers reign as City manager is 'We only have 13 players available'... He should be saying, like any other manager would, even the shit ones, "we only have 13 players available...but i have faith in our very talented kids to stand in where required'. Even if its just a nice, vague platitude and he didn't mean it, he should say it. Cos its the right thing to do as its motivational. Yet he pretended they didn't exist, despite most of them training with the first team often. Why? Its genuinely borderline offensive to them. They don't deserve to be treated as invisible. Yet he's moaning about injuries. It's bad man management and, sadly, quite eye-opening to how he views the young players he has at his disposal.
I don't hate Pellegrini. I think he is a good manager, i just think he has some massive flaws that will prevent him from becoming a great manager. At the same time, i don't think we should sack him now either. Summer though, nah - he's not the man for us and id be happy to see him move on.
