Pep who ? Brilliant for Pellegrini to learn and adapt - I didn't think he had the performance at OT in him and this progression from that is very exciting. He set us up perfectly and the players all performed fantastically.

Couldn't fault any of our players they all worked for one another and in the end, the end did justify the means

Spot on at last

So much better playing a single pivot. Allows you to close the opposition down higher up and when you win it back you've got more men forward. And you still have someone shielding the CBs

Much better for both possession and counter attacking.
The only downside is you don't get as much cover for the fullbacks unless your wide players work back a lot. Ours did that tonight most of the time.

Kolarov let too many crosses in but it was a brilliant away performance overall. Formations do matter
