Week done Manuel Pellegrini - showed what a class manager you are
We have a depleted squad and those that are standing are carrying various knocks so he has managed the team well to get that result against a team who had just beaten Bayern and who were unbeaten in 10 or more and we can push on.
Now that bit is over till the New Year he can focus on the premier and watch us move up there - we have arse , Leicester coming up so I expect us to sort them and then all those moaners can really shut the f--k up once and for all.
I really hope we do the quad and look forward to reading bluemoon then!!!!

The point above about starting with 4 attacking players is something I've been saying for ages. In the big matches or away at Stoke for example. If you go that way, your more open and likely to concede the first goal. Or 2 at Stoke. Go with 3 and if you need to go gung ho in the last 20 mins then go with the 4 then..!! At least you have somewhere to go. We've not played with 3 in the middle enough and first half we struggled at times. But fair play we got our act together in the 2nd half and battered them. Hopefully this has finally confirmed to Pellers this is how we need to set up in the bigger games

Not just that, but the nous to change it to 442 when Bony came on to play up front with Sterling - when BM were tiring.

This thread will slow down until our next loss, then the Mancini fan boys will come crawling back.
Mancini fanboys? Is it 2013 again? That ship has well sailed pal. It's just City fanboys and some aren't keen on Pellegrini, some are indifferent towards him because he keeps getting the same things wrong but also gets things right and then there are those who just won't have any negatives said.

Good to see the kneejerkers from the weekend sticking to their guns in the main on this thread and still finding ways to justify crying and extra fanny wipes.

Did well for me. Liked the look of the line-up when I saw it pre-match. Worked to an extent first half but we were getting so over numbered down our right I was surprised it took until half-time to change it. Once we stopped that supply like they were totally nullified & we dominated.

Subs worked perfectly. Think Navas & Bony both work best from the bench & they had a huge impact when they came on.

Great night all round.

Gamble in taking De Bruyne off paid off. I thought at that moment he'd given up and was prioritising Saturday. He was certainly thinking ahead but these are the calls the manager makes. It didn't go down well with the crowd
