I don't think Pep would be that bothered if he got the City job or not, it's well documented he wants to manage so called elite clubs and even if he does leave Bayern this summer Txiki is going to have to do some persuading to convince him the City job is right for him next considering the overhaul and rebuild which has to take FFP into account and the shipping out of ageing players on big money contracts.
Why, where else do you think he'd go? Would Man Utd sack LVG? Would Arsenal sack Wenger? Would he step down to Ligue 1? Would he go to his favourite club in the world Real Madrid?

I can see the Arsenal board asking Wenger to call it a day.

I do think City will be his next job if he left this summer though, like you said, there would be limited options.

Unless he took a sabbatical.
Don't think they would ever do that. The man is untouchable there, he'd have to decide that entirely by himself - and he wouldn't because he's too arrogant.

This outburst by Guardiola is in character. While he didn't poke anyone in the eye during Mourinho's spanish sojourn he frequently was sullen and rude with the media. He doesn't take defeat well.

Pellegrini for all his faults behaves with much more grace than most of his peers. I just wish he were a better manager.

Show me someone who takes losing well, and I'll show you a loser.

What Guardiola did was over the top but at the same time I think City need a manager with that sort of enthusiasm.

Pellegrini's character reflects on the pitch at times for me and someone like Klopp or Pep is needed to boost not just the players but also get the crowd going.

For all the tactics issues surrounding the team I do think we lack a motivator which can be as equally beneficial.

Not entirely fussed if it's Pep, Carlo or Klopp.

Carlo won't get us much further in the CL as I don't think he has the personality to raise a previously unfancied club to that level. He will win a league though so I'm fine with that. And he has that whole eyebrow thing going on which intrigues me.

Pep is clearly a mad obsessive who can probably takes us further in the CL and will win a league but will get drawn into the mental games with Van Gaal and Jose and end up going on a killing spree bringing a whole new meaning to 'clearing out the deadwood'

Klopp is a so obviously a character from 'Allo 'Allo it probably makes him favourite in my book. Out of the three he is more likely to win the CL and just as likely to get us relegated but it would be a hoot.
As ever Bob; entertaining and erudite.

Is this a bad thing? One of Chelsea's players recently said Mourinho makes them hate losing more than anything. The culture at top European sides is that 1 loss = a major failure. If Real or Barca lose, they get absolutely hammered. You could say that's over the top and unfair, but that mentality doesn't seem to have done these clubs any harm. They would not tolerate this unprecedented decline seen at City in 2015 if it ever happened there (they would probably have sacked the manager around early March). I'd happily have a manager who is pissy about losing and doesn't take it with grace and comments like "We played well, if we play like that any other week we'll win" (then lose the next week and say the same). For all his flaws, I feel Mancini brought that sort of mentality to the club but standards are slipping now.

Keep Pelle or a choice between Pep, Klopp or Ancelotti? .....wow what a team I support!

Im still in heaven with this take over I really am, this club is just superb and I thank the owners for making this all possible.

Frank Clark, Alan Ball...Stuart Pearce hahaha how times have changed...

Klopp for me, i am not anti anyone else i just need some Klopp in my life.
I can't think of a better match for my sensibilities or the club as a whole, fuck the holistic shit.

Holistic is so 2013.

Drinking bubbly on the 7th floor bar at the hotel gotham with you and Mr Knee is on my bucketlist.
A bit random but there you go sir. You would be proud of my bender my good man.

Indeed it had less flavour than a stick of gum and lasted half as long to boot.
