This outburst by Guardiola is in character. While he didn't poke anyone in the eye during Mourinho's spanish sojourn he frequently was sullen and rude with the media. He doesn't take defeat well.

Pellegrini for all his faults behaves with much more grace than most of his peers. I just wish he were a better manager.

Show me someone who takes losing well, and I'll show you a loser.

Oh dear
Pathetic pseudo american 1980 crap.....

Kipling summed it up so well (and I'm not normally a Kipling fan)

If you can dream—and not make dreams your master;
If you can think—and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;

If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build ’em up with worn-out tools:

Think about it

There is no logical link between being taking losing well and winning

Mr lance Armstrong's sad pathetic demise says it all about this philosophy... a direct reflection of Scum's Bacon Face bully boy tactics with the resulting 'power vacuum' into which the doomed Moyes stepped

Current regime cynically tries to outspend us , whilst trying to espouse 'istry' and 'yoof' development...
It also sanctions serial thuggery by the likes of Bogbrush

We beat the twats season in - season out with one solitary victory by them of late

...or are you suggesting that we follow the little Portuguese polecat and start moaning at the press / ref after every game and/or takes matters into his own hands with a bit of eye-gouging?????

FFS it is only a game ... grow up a bit

Apparently Paul Scholes believes Guardiola will be coming to City when his Bayern contract expires, although I take that with a pinch of salt.

I'd be delighted with either Guardiola or Klopp. Disappointed if we didn't get either though. Ancelotti's CV is great, but just don't feel he's the right man for us.

Looking at our squad I think Klopp would be perfect, but watching interviews of Txiki, who would have to work directly with him, I just don't see it as a relationship that would work.

Txiki seems to be a man of quiet dignity, and needs to work with someone else of his ilk, quite how he'd respond to the likes of Klopp running in to his office every morning and screeching "I'VE TOLD YOU BEFORE NEXT PERSON TO EAT MY ROASTED PEPPERNUT SANDWICH DOES 20 LAPS OF THE COMPLEX AND SOMEONE HAS" or "DO YOU HAVE A SPARE LAMBOURGHINI TYRE I UNHOOKED MINE AS PART OF A TRAINING DRILL AND SERGIO HAS EXPLODED IT" I don't know.

For me, Pep would just be perfect for where we are at the moment. The parallels to where Barca were when he took over make it look like such an obvious appointment if possible. Every manager is a gamble, but he has been in almost this exact situation and turned it into unmatched success. He ticks all the boxes. The only problem is that he may well not be available.

Ancelotti just doesn't fit for me. He's a great short term fix if you want to squeeze a few more years out of a squad at it's peak, but he never rebuilds teams or plays youth. He's a pragmatic and effective manager, but not the man we need at the moment. He would have made more sense as Mancini's replacement and might have got more out of the team these last two years, but he's not the manager I'd want for the rebuilding project we have to do.

That's fair I think if we were going to bring in 3-4 new players this summer Carlo would be ok.

But for a large rebuild as is rumoured for us this summer maybe we'll need someone who has a fixed philosophy and style of play. Both Klopp and Pep could bring this. Pep is a big name manager and Klopp to a lesser degree - both could attract top players and also play youth.

But on the topic of longevity there's no reason to think that Pep would be here long term either.

Wonder what "information" the likes of Scholes gets...

If Bayern go out to Porto in the quarters after he caused the entire medical staff to resign, I cannot see Pep NOT being available at the end of the season.

He would probably go on another sabbatical.

Scholes has no reason to lie and every reason to want us NOT to get Pep so hopefully his info is good. But he quite easily could have just been reading the newspapers and said that.

Pep called Scholes the best midfielder of his generation in 2011 so I wonder if they have each other on speed dial. :)
