I reckon Pep might call it a day if Bayern get knocked out of the CL next week, tensions seem high.

I reckon if it happens Txiki will be on the phone to him at an instant and emailing him a contract over.
I'm unconvinced this week's events didn't affect his performance. I'm pretty sure he always saw England as his next move after Bayern and ourselves as a surefire option when his contract expired in 2016; now with the emergence of Klopp on the market he's having to consider whether to make some sort of commitment to ourselves now or we'll hire Klopp in his place. Klopp has taken his cards completely away from him.

I don't think Pep would be that bothered if he got the City job or not, it's well documented he wants to manage so called elite clubs and even if he does leave Bayern this summer Txiki is going to have to do some persuading to convince him the City job is right for him next considering the overhaul and rebuild which has to take FFP into account and the shipping out of ageing players on big money contracts.
Why, where else do you think he'd go? Would Man Utd sack LVG? Would Arsenal sack Wenger? Would he step down to Ligue 1? Would he go to his favourite club in the world Real Madrid?

This thread is classic.

We've now decided we don't want Pep, hahaha, not good enough for us.

TBH I would be happy with any of Klopp, Pep or Ancelloti.

Klopp my first choice.

I can see the Arsenal board asking Wenger to call it a day.

I do think City will be his next job if he left this summer though, like you said, there would be limited options.

Unless he took a sabbatical.

Pep is obviously good enough in results terms.

The question I'm seeing is is he so much better than Klopp and Ancelotti?

Just in terms of RESULTS I don't see why one would think he's better than Ancelotti though.

I took two years off the board and I'm beginning to remember why. Prepare for a glimpse into the mind of a diagnosed idiot in an acute excitable state.

My head is telling me that Tolmie's recent comments about 'use the force, city' are something to do with today.

He knew the new Star Wars trailer would be released today.

(and here's were we go over the edge for once and for all.... )

that makes today relevant. The Movie is called 'The Force Awakes'. Also relevant because....

He knew pep's hand would be 'forced' today.

how?

well he knew the klopp thing would happen yesterday, and that bayern would struggle yesterday, because city engineered it by feeding someone the dortmund/klopp story so it would come out on the morning of Pep's quarter final.

klopp's availability means city can call every outlet in the land and say, no, we want pep, and they will all put it out as top sport story. They know this will cause a problem in Bayern. It causes Pep to be distracted - distracts his players. Worked better than anyone could imagine.

As for the stuff with the medical staff - did that vine drop today?

Oh god I shouldn't press post. Don't do it... don't.....

Not entirely fussed if it's Pep, Carlo or Klopp.

Carlo won't get us much further in the CL as I don't think he has the personality to raise a previously unfancied club to that level. He will win a league though so I'm fine with that. And he has that whole eyebrow thing going on which intrigues me.

Pep is clearly a mad obsessive who can probably takes us further in the CL and will win a league but will get drawn into the mental games with Van Gaal and Jose and end up going on a killing spree bringing a whole new meaning to 'clearing out the deadwood'

Klopp is a so obviously a character from 'Allo 'Allo it probably makes him favourite in my book. Out of the three he is more likely to win the CL and just as likely to get us relegated but it would be a hoot.

Even Hollywood wouldn't buy that conspiracy.

Interesting thoughts though.

If it comes down to Klopp or Pep, who would you choose? I'm not really sure about either tbh.
That's tough. We have yet to see if Klopp can adjust his tactics. His training methods seem to injure players over the long term. I don't think the human body can sustain a 15 year career with the workrate his system requires.

Like many flashy managers, he has no plan B when teams play defensively.

Ancelotti is a distant third choice behind Pep and Klopp for me, but I think what's driving the 'No Pep' movement isn't turning him down as a manager, it's just turning down this ludicrous idea of having a season off to wait for him.

Klopp today or Pep (a year) tomorrow? Klopp.
