IMHO it would a huge missed opportunity if they do not go for Klopp now that he is available. He just seems the right fit for City on so many levels. He is the charismatic motivator who the fans will get behind and players want to play for. He has built pacey, technical, aggressive, pressing teams which fit the style of football the owners want. He is also the manager of the possibly the best team I have seen at Eastlands since City moved there.

Passing on him on the off chance that Guardiola might not renew his contract at Bayern and might say yes to taking over in 2016 seems a massive gamble. If he doesn't fit with the current management structure then maybe that is what needs to change.

So say we keep mp for next year because pep has said yes for the season after and we fall out of the top 4, i can't see pep coming for the europa league somehow

And this is why I think LoveCity's assumption that we already have a deal in place with Pep in unlikely imo. I agree with him that it is the only reason why we would keep MP or pass on Klopp and appoint Rafa, but I don't for a minute believe that Pep would make an ironclad agreement to come to the club without assurances about CL football, and we simply cannot give him those assurances.

According to Lancenet, Sabella missed his deadline to answer Sao Paulo about coaching them next season because he is hoping/expecting an invite to coach City. But they are so eager to hire him they are waiting longer and hope for an answer on Monday.

IMO After the success that Pelligrini delivered last Season, I think he deserves the opportunity to try and put things right next Season.

I think we need to wheedle out the trouble causer' poisoning the Squad and show them the door. The players didn't want to play for Mancini as he was too tough, now Pellirini is too easy ! We cannot change Managers every other Season when the players spit out their dummies.

Agree to an extent, however he's made some tactical wank decisions which not helped him and he's a stubborn twunt.

Foolish to say this is all Pellegrini's fault, it's a 3 way thing; Txixi's bad transfer dealings, too many players regressing and Pellegrini for being too stubborn and getting numerous things wrong this season.

I still think Klopp will be a better appointment, proved himself in Europe especially and is a lot younger.

It was nice to see him looking healthy and relaxed. That says something good about his character after a terrible week.

In the same way, he deserves credit for getting a very nice 1st half performance out of a team that had every reason to look lost and demoralised. And his tactics worked well in more than one way, although I think part of the success was the element of surprise.

Still, the only way I can see him staying is if in fact it turns out he's been pressured or even ordered by Txiki to play one system all season.

Even then, he could have done more to make it work, IMHO.
