At best its wishful thinking, at worst pure hope. There are no signs of either MP going, or any of Klopp, Gaurdiola, Ancelloti, and shall we add Wenger too ? coming any time soon.

Of course there are no signs of any of the above. Nor will there be until the season is over. Then the hype begins again with fervour.

Wonder if Pep made things so difficult for the Bayern Doctor that he felt slighted & forced to resign. This could then cause issue where both Bayern & Pep look for a parting of the way sooner than the current contract expires in 2016.

More interesting times ahead.
It's reported here in Germany today that Rummenigge lost his cool in the changing room and blamed the medical team for the defeat and the number of injured players so that was real reason behind it.

As a Bayern fan I'm 100% convinced that Pep has the full backing of the board no matter what happens in the CL. Missing essentially an entire XI and being forced to play non fit players is just too much.

Whether he will extend for another two years or so I have no idea, Rummenigge and Sammer will certainly do everything they can to get Pep sign an extension. With Ribery, Robben, Lahm and Schweinsteiger having to be replaced soon, Pep or his successor will have the opportunity to form the team to his liking.

Some words on Klopp. I know some madman wearing jogging pants and jumping around the coaching area is most football fan's wet dream, but in my opinion his style of football is the exact opposite of where your clubs wants to go when they hired the Barca men. They'd have to do a 180 on their philosophy.

I agree on the Klopp point.

However Bayern definitely did not have an entire XI missing against Porto. They played Neuer, Lahm, Lewandowski, Gotze, Muller, Boateng, Bernat, Dante, Thiago, Xabi Alonso and Rafinha. Atleast 7 of them would be in your first team on any given day. Dante and Benatia have both rotated so you could argue for Dante as well. Might have been a few player not fit enough but that is expected in the last 2 months of the season. Everyone plays their best XI in the CL at this point and Bayern do have the luxury to rotate in the league unlike anyone else except maybe Juventus.

Must admit was very surprised with how Pep reacted with the Benatia injury.

Could we get the Porto coach whoever he is, would save us a fortune, instead of paying huge fees for their players we just get him to do whatever he does to develop such expensive talent. That or buy Porto itself :)

Not sure I fully go along with that. Admittedly the British media seem to be leaning towards City wanting Pellegrini to stay. However equally, there are enough reputable and respected journos and publications across Europe saying that City are at the very least talking to Klopp and Ancelotti to make me think there's some truth to the stories.

There are plenty of shades of Mancini's last few months in charge in terms of where the rumours are emanating from and what they actually imply.

FWIW I've been told by two people I trust that Pellegrini's already been told he's out at the end of the season.

Interesting and though I feel a little sorry for Pellegrini I hope it's true. He's been a touch unfortunate in his time with City dealing with FFP, injuries and under performing players but this season his team selections, set up, set pieces (both defending and attacking) and our defensive failings are the reasons to part ways.

A lot of logic in what you say.

I hope you're right mate but who'll replace him?
Klopp would mean a complete turn on what City are looking for. Guardiola isn't leaving this summer so it really only leaves Ancelotti.

AND we can remember him in a positive way as the Manager who brought us our first domestic League and Cup double.

Pellegrini was 45 minutes from breaking a 102 year old record of most league wins in a row.
