ffs, yet another post about an over 30 year old. with respect were trying to build a team here. we are not going to achieve this by buying people who are past there best or just about to tip over into a slow downward spiral.
distin at his best was a decent centre back now thirty plus.
just for once i will agree with baconface you can build for the future not for the past. owen being the exception he cost them nowt.
i`ve said it before, i`ll say it again, it doesnt matter how much money our owner have, we will not get the lot, there will come a time when they say enough is enough. we have to look after it and spend it wisely.
we need to buy players we can increase their value, buying players in their autumn of there careers for millions is folly you can never recoup that money you have paid.

Distin, Would i have him back now?.................Yes!
Think about it, quite possibly the best uncapped french defender ever (How did boumsong get in ahead of him) Okay his is 32, but he does not drink or excess in anyway, is a dedicated pro, probably still quicker than most!
We have just signed neddy for another 5 years! Distin and Neddy could gradually swap first team/bench positions over the next season and a half. Because Neddy will be awesome very soon!
