Ditching Sky

I'm ZGemma curious! I have a sky box / dish etc. Do i just buy one of these and swp it for the sky box? What channels would i get from scratch? I can see it can be programmed with skins etc, do i need to 'program it' in order to pick up sports channels ?

As above I have Kodi but it is not a perfect solution, A ZGemma box is £72.49 from here > http://www.zgemma.co.uk/

Would that get me Sly sports from the get go?

What does the yearly fee get you and who do you pay it to?

No buying from that site would get you a STB only. From that you would add a private server, (usually word of mouth is best here) for reliable server providers. If I was you i would look at getting the zgemma H2H (my vu duo capacitors popped last week so i ordered one that yesterday at 10am and arrived today 12 noon £80 including delivery (pm i'll give ebay link)will give you some feedback when my head is round open atv firmware) word on the grapevine is that Sly are getting free HD rolled out to all subscribers, once that happens the rumour is the SD channels will be history(could be scare mongering who knows) I cant help with offering a server to anyone unfortunately so please don't ask, but loads of users on here might have a more flexible provider.

The H2H has a combi tuner so you can opt for a cable tuner which at the moment offers HD and is far more stable.

Plex iptv subscription,80% HD, with Vod(300tb content) including ALL 3pm matches = roughly £50 - £80.

if you cancel sky can you still use box to watch bbc itv and bt, or is it turned off completely.

If you cancel sky you are basically left with the freesat
Channels.

Need broadband speed around 20mgs especially if more than one person is going to use it.

If you have a dish some say the zgemma boxes with a years subs is the way to go.

Just got a zgemma last week so still getting use to it but so far it's great loads of channels latest films etc
And easy to use even for a old bugger like me

Interesting shit, I wish I could find the right solution for me. No way my mrs can get her head around using firestick etc, but my half price sky for a year is coming to an end - she won't deal with streams and lagging and just needs to be able for it to be as simple as sky, plus we have multirooms so it can be watched in back room and bedroom.

Fucking annoying.
