Do the red scouse want it more than us?

I think their players and fans want it more than ours. I take no pleasure at all in saying

Why do you think that ?
In terms of the fans I think if you individually talk to anyone they'd say they are desperate for us to win the league. But the reality is that our ground is way too often silent whereas theirs is bouncing like ours was in 2012. As for the players, I know I could be wrong because i recognise that it could be tiredness after a more demanding season than Liverpool have had but I see a focus and intensity in their players that I don't see in ours. Again, like the supporters, the focus and intensity the Liverpool players are showing now reminds me of our players in the 11/12 run in. I look at the tempo of our performance against Sunderland and think Liverpool by and large haven't looked lethargic like that at all in this run in.

If Chelsea win on Sunday, then the belief, and the noise will come flooding back for the remaining home games. But realistically how can the intensity match what it was for our first Premier league title; it can't.

It's not 'introspection' for me, it's that fact that we've upped our expectations, as we should, and we aren't happy with second now. Awaits references to York away...you've never had it so good.....etc.

I can't shake the feeling that the Dippers will win their next three because its their one and only chance at a title. Does it mean more to them than it does to us? They're like us in 2012. I include the players in this.

the reason for them being top has nothing to do with their playing skills.

luck
cheating
refs
pens
less games
no injuries
our injuries

take off even one of those things and they are mid table.

It doesnt help our cause having to play catch up all the time, if we'd have had two games to catch up then liverpool would have panicked but it seems the 6 point gap is just what the dippers need..

More Bluemoon introspection just what we need

Self flagellation is the name of the game on bluemoon these days. Everything about the club is rotten to the core. Fans, manager, players, doctors...everyone.

Everything about our club is growing and blossoming, yet this place has become overrun with whinging plums.
Dave, I'm amazed you don't find some of the atmospheres we've had this season worrying. We have been challenging for a title and it has been like a morgue at times. People can turn up late, go home early, sit in total silence, whatever, they have paid for their tickets they can do what they like. But it doesn't help the team at all when it's quiet and a noisy crowd can help drag teams through difficult moments. Anyway we've agreed with each other before that it isn't the supporters job to just blindly praise everything but to raise concerns if they have them so I'm not really sure what your gripe is.

I get the feeling some of our players are ready for the season to be over but one or two would run through brick wall for the title. As for the fans it's clear from the atmosphere at home games that they really arnt too bothered about it. No passion or will to get involved on the title fight. If it was based on away fans then yes but home fans definitely not. So yes of course Liverpool clearly want it more and they will have deserved it.

Haven't you heard, they've already won it and are having the open-top parade before Sunday's game!
