The only actual answer: it depends which Villa fans you talk to. Obviously some are proud of Jack and want to see him do well for the "local Brummie lad comes good" story and great example for all their future youth/academy players, while others are very bitter and don't want him to win a thing.
As someone with a couple of Villa fans in the family, I've seen both sides of this and am sure it extends to various degrees across the whole fanbase.
Maybe there's a particularly vocal fraction of the fans who want him to fail, but I'd say there's still a good number who either aren't bothered or would be happy for him. Personally, it's hard for me to put myself in their shoes, but I know I'd have loved Jack if I was a fan of that club and would have hoped he'd stay for years, but I feel I'd also have accepted that players of that calibre eventually need to move on if/when they outgrow their clubs. He gave them a good number of seasons, got them promoted and kept them in the Prem. I'd say most fans with a brain and a bit of perspective should and do wish him well.
The Twitter lot and idiots who still boo Milner definitely paint Villa fans in a bad light but it's foolish to think those kinds of crowds represent an entire fanbase.
