How many on here have had drunken "relations" on the office /works Christmas party, and been a bit sheepish returning to work in the new year.

went to send a few cards to a few old pals - you know the ones you seem to see less and less of over the years but they're on your card list so its a good thing to do

anyway needed to buy some stamps at the post office
'book of 8 will do nicely thanks'

F*cking hell!! - think they're going to be hand delivered next year (I'll just tell them its a more personal touch) :)

Hate Christmas.
It's school holidays starting today till end of January so as i live in a holiday place, there's kids everywhere, trams are packed with teenagers going to the beach.
I'd go and live up north in somewhere quiet like Mackay or Cairns on an island but wife likes it here.
Christmas just makes everything worse imo. All this bollocks for 2 fucking days.

I'm in NZ, and the copy/paste of western winter Christmas is weird as. Trying to get the winter wonderland feel when the sun's blazing and you're on the beach just doesn't work

I love it. Presents, traditional festive food, the big tree in the living room, cake - it‘s brilliant. Loved it since I was a kid and still do.

Once it’s done though it’s also nice to get back to our quiet life and look forward to spring and better weather.

Just do what I do.

Tell everyone you are not sending cards out anymore, but are going to donate the money that you would have spent on cards and stamps to Charity instead.

Then go and spend the money on a hooker called "Charity".

Win Win,..... and as a bonus ease the strain on the Post Office at a busy time of year.

Yeah it works pretty well in the gloomy winter of the UK but not in the feckin tropics..
