Do you look after your body?

Food of the gods. Through some red onion on for good measure and a few chillis
Or porridge with kippers flaked and stirred in and steamed broccoli as a side. ;)

Suprised a few saying they’ve completely given up on sugar - do you mean just chocolate/sweets ? As there is lots of sugar in most Breads, Milk, Cereal, Yogurts, Sauces & dressings prob loads more.
I completely gave up sugar post-covid unless naturally occurring in the foods I eat. Quite difficult for the first few weeks then like I never consumed it. It was a part of dramatically changing my lifestyle and never looked back.

Yes pal. I don't eat any of that. My Mrs and YouTube taught me how to make sauces from scratch. Make your own bread. It's a piece of piss

Yogurt is some right weird shit anyway. Fuck that!

Avoid crunchy peanut butter , always got a jar in for a finger scoop when hovering in the kitchen , 92 calories per 15g !

You could deprive yourself of the things you enjoy abd be the best, fittest version of yourself but be miserable. You could then get hit by a bus tomorrow and die.

Point being, enjoy yourself.

You could also eat, drink and smoke all you like and be a fatty riddled with health issues and invisible to women

You could also live another 40/50 years most of those with diabetes, COPD, liver issues, fucking up joints, bad back, fatigue you name it. My brain and body certainly don't feel like they're being deprived of anything pal. Each to their own though

Good for you, you’re enjoying yourself.

And you too pal. Now pass me a cig ;-)
Never touched them until the ripe old age of 52 when I needed anything to help deal with some trauma. Two years on I’m trying to kick them into touch. Those three minutes of puffing away are like my head turning off.

The irony is if those bastards get the better of me, the person who is going through that trauma will lose her son. I’ve gone from 10 a day to 1 since Christmas. By February I will, literally will kick them into touch. They are vile.

Lost about 3 stone in last 6 or so years without doing anything too painful. Just only eat when I'm hungry and do about an hour a week in the gym walking on treadmill and rowing.
I'm nearly 64 and am confident that I'll get to 80 with a bit of luck.

I eat once a day but eat what I want and go out for a drink a couple of times a week. This pattern seems to keep my weight at the ideal, which I am a bit obsessed about. I never let it go more than 2 kilos above or below.

Stopped smoking and switched to vaping, which has certainly made me feel a lot better.

I have free access to the gym in our building and I try to use it a couple of times a week but find it rather boring. I try to walk at least 20,000 steps a day and feel healthier than I ever have.

Not really. I have a real weakness for crisps.

I’ve never really understood the desire to live to a really old age either. It becomes clear as you get older that the best days of your life are when you are younger.

Turn 57 next month-physically fitter than ever, this week increasing the indoor rowing to 75k (70 last week), plus 60k bike and 3 weights sessions.

Aim is to get to 100k per week on the rower and then do some time trials after a few weeks at that level.

My mental health still pretty fucked by my career but I sleep like the dead.
