I think that's short-sighted. Arsenal are a huge club and once they've paid off their stadium and have decent money coming in from naming rights will be able to challenge again in future if they decide to spend. In brutal terms of what is best for City, it's better if one of these long-term threats falls from grace at the hands of Spurs, and I say this with utter selfishness because Spurs are second only to the rags on my shit list, miles ahead of Chelsea and slightly ahead of Arsenal.

And in general I couldn't ever want to see us lose. Would certainly take the positives if we did lose and it hurt a team I didn't like.

Certainly the lesser of two evils. Ideally, both Spurs and Arsenal would miss out to Chelsea and Everton but I can't really see it happening.

Short sightedness is what the situation calls for. Chelsea are the immediate threat, Arsenal won't be there for a couple of seasons at least. We still have building to do, and still need to elevate our status amongst players considering a move here. Chelsea missing out will help us more than Arsenal.

Eitherway, as long as one of them drop out. Spurs need to hold on.

Think about this.

We lose to spurs......opportunity for rags to win title at home on the Monday.

Win or draw at spurs and they can't win it til the week after away at arsenal.

I would rather as few rags as possible get to witness that so it's a big NO from me.

I have never, ever, thought that anything less than a City win is the most important thing.

I honestly don't give a stuff what permutations are available to teams above or below us, I pay my money to watch City win, and, thankfully, they are now winning more games than I ever thought possible just a few years ago, and long may this feeling persist.
