Do you pinch from self service counters?

No I never steal anything. (stole a shirt once from Barons in Manchester, Sunday morning 1978)...still feel guilty about that :(

I like the machines personally, I dont want some spotty faced grub handling everything I've bought.

How do you think they got on the shelf ;-)

My thoughts are they were probably put on the shelf some time before. Cold & flu bugs (and bacteria) had a chance to die.

The cashier could have a cold or has just wiped their arse without washing or could have just been picking their nose.
Also the cashier has handle everyone elses items before yours which everyone else has handled.
The bacteria on their hands goes onto your items which you then pick up straight away.
You then rub your nose or eye etc. and end up sick in some way.

Cross contamination, it's everywhere.
I'm married to an ex nurse who was responsible for looking at ways to minilalise cross contamination in the eye hospital she worked at.

Sometimes it's a pain in the are as now ............I see germs everywhere. :)

How do you get a refund if you haven't got a receipt?

If you are desperate for a refund on anything, get them to print the receipt out at customer services

I only use self service if i only have a few items , never knew you could steal from them, in tesco they have staff hovering over you , use the maned tills otherwise, prefer them
