Do you support the RMT?

Qakeshitt - one of a number of rightwing "thinkers" today who's answer is sack all the strikers.

Yeah sure sack all the nurses, Dr;s, Ambulance dirvers, Firefighters, teachers, Rail workers Heathrow baggage handlers etc etc - I am sure that come Monday the country will be in absolutely fine fettle

Missing the point entirely.
If a body of workers is so critical that they should never strike , then for fuck’s sake pay them accordingly.
Not economic rocket science.

Yes but paying anyone doing work they need to be done but who they see as beneath them is just and anathema to them - essential workers can go to food banks and freeze as long as she and Tice have loads in the bank and snack on decent caviar and champers

And your issue with that is.... ? Its no longer the 1970's you know the world of work has changed - its fine save £60k a year then get one of these a year - makes perfect financial sense

My issue is that’s two firefighters they could employ instead if some rainbow waving fucktard with issues against white men.

Nailed it.
As a teacher this is my opportunity to at least strike a blow, no matter how small or fleeting, against a sack of shit government who have ridden roughshod over the profession for years. We can’t retain staff, burnout is at an all time high, second only to health workers for stress-related illness.
This chance to have a voice, it couldn’t be passed up.
Same with nurses, they’re striking about pay but it’s the conditions and workload that’s the real reason.
You’ve absolutely nailed it there mate.
I have left my job due to it.

People in the private sector suffer just as much if not more than the public sector. No sick pay and can’t remember the last time I had a pay rise and told if you don’t like it fuck off someone else will do the job . Managers in every sector now has a total lack of respect for their workforce. Royal Mail will go out of business at this rate and nobody will give a shit, our post ends up in every house on the estate bar ours,it’s not rocket science reading a fucking envelope surely?
I agree. I have worked in both but my view is the highest echelons of the public sector get paid handsome sums for doing nothing. I went into private sector and know I was expendable. I was too. It's the free market. The public sector frontline is under terrible pressure whilst under Chief Executive level people invent restructuring to make their £200k relevant rather than just paying more to retain the front line.
