Do you support the RMT?

How come they generally target weekends now and not week days?

Seems a risky game going forward. I feel like train travel has become unacceptably unreliable and expensive to be worth using now.

Better to drive, get a coach or even sometimes fly.
Leisure travel revenue has overtaken commuter travel post lockdown.

Trains are rammed with leisure travellers. Saturdays are the way to go for two reasons.

1. The revenue hit on TOCs as most "contingency" aren't revenue trained.

2. Management working Saturdays are now waking up to the anti social issues we face every weekend by witnessing it themselves. One of the positives in my TOC is that it's prevented another strike as they've seen the issues and given the support we've asked for.

How come prices haven't reflected that then? Peak time fares are still on week days.
Because there are still more people on trains in peak hours Monday to Friday than at any time at weekends.

Wake Up, Nottingham!

Enough is enough! Mick Lynch, the fearless RMT General Secretary and the man who constantly debunks media myths and Tory propaganda, will storm Nottingham Train Station on Saturday, 26th August at 11am. This isn't just another rally – it's a call to arms! He’ll be tearing into the brutal attacks on our rail jobs, the sham that is our pay, the mockery of our terms and conditions, and the underhanded closure of ticket offices. If you’re tired of the lies and want the truth, stand shoulder to shoulder with us. The media won’t tell you, but Mick Lynch will. Be there and let's make some noise!
