Mike Lynch is a fucking rockstar. He also exposes the level of control our mainstream media seem to have favouring bullshit MPs mumbling on about veterans being unable to travel.

They even unleashed their prime gammon in the form of Peirs Morgan and his best attempt was some mad rambling about the Thunderbirds.

He just fucking destroys Tories and their lies and leaves the Boris Propaganda machine with a burst arsehole.

I fucking love the guy. I want more exactly like him.

Mick Lynch spoke calmly, coherently and convincingly because he knows he has the moral high ground and a clarity of purpose. Jenrick gibbered like a man who knows he's talking bollocks and would rather be anywhere else. Thornberry just sat there like a piece of wet lettuce and Peston was just his usual excitable self.

It's was like watching a grown up having to tolerate an evening with unruly toddlers

According to the contracts he signed with the companies to manage the railways. It's his job to sort out industrial disputes.

He's instructed the DFT to order TOCs not to pay for Rest Day Work and overtime in retaliation for the strikes and to try and starve low paid members back into work.

I would be fascinated by the legal opinion on this because it screams to me of discrimination of being in a trade union.

If I understand things right, wouldn’t an overtime ban on the railway mean there wouldn’t be a single train running on Sundays?

ML: Right.
KH: Wrong.

As you are probably aware, this thread is patrolled by the grammar and spelling Police.
On that note can I please nominate you for word of the day, evisceration.
As a regular listener to the Today programme and the gobbledegook when the Bishops speak in General Synod that word is up there with the best.
It reminds a bit of the Union leaders when they went on the tele in the 70’s desperately trying to sound educated by using words that you never hear in everyday life, certainly never by the members.
The good old Queens English is alive and kicking , well done for bringing a bit of culture to the thread.
Another one who thinks erudite is a glue.

I thought Peston was woeful tbh - acting up to his client media portrayal not letting Mick Lynch get many answers in because he knew if Jenrick got disembowelled on the show he was in danger of losing some of his "scoops"

TOCS have committed Sundays in their contracts. Meaning staff are expected to work their booked turns unless they can find cover. There's very few workers still on their original BR contracts which state Sundays are voluntary.
