Do you think your midfield is strong enough without Nigel?

it's all down to formations and the roles assigned the players, isn't it?
With a little creativity Mancini should be able to accomodate for Nigels absence, imo.

But Hargreaves cannot replace Nigel. Not at the moment anyway. And there are superior DMs out there that we should look to sign in January.

I saw NDJ today at the training ground and he signed my top for my little girl what a nice guy.

I asked him if your foot is better and he yeah it's good now and i am in the team for the munich game hope this is good news to people it is for me :)

Often not. Think no goals against Arsenal, home draws to Birmingham and Blackburn, no goals at home to United etc.

I'm happy to accept sometimes we need Nigel, but also intelligent enough to realise sometimes he is a hindrance.
Is it as simple as to say that that lack of goals was down to Nigel's presence?

Is it as simple as to say that we are strong because of Nigel?

We are strong when we play a holding midfielder, we only have one true holding midfielder in the squad and that is Nigel. Of course we're going to miss him in certain games but that does not make him indispensable. I still think Hargreaves could do his job just as well if he got back to full fitness.

No. De Jong is different to all our other DM/CM's in that he allows everyone to go do their own thing up top without any fear while at the same time leaving our defense feeling very secure.

Hargreaves can do the same job but he's so mobile and can cross, pass, shoot, and tackle well and the same time has pace, that you kind of have to let Hargreaves roam more to really get the best out of him.
