this lad has got it spot on,my furthest trip was all the way to pompey and back,top jib,its a pity we werent in europe in the early 80s that wud ave been fun,there was also the family rail card worked out at £4 each to euston,or you could buy train tickets from the local travel agents,we knewthe girl who worked in ours and kept gettin kids tickets up untill we was 19-20,but if you was skint its was da old jib.what fun days!!!!1_barry_conlon said:This was the main stay of getting to away matches in the 80's.
