The world is against us isn't it. Conspiracy after conspiracy.
Not one person here would be calling them corrupt (which is out of line imo, the FA are a lot of things, but that's a bit steep) if we had scored. Which we could have, the ref didn't stop us from playing now did they.
The ref/FA didn't make us fall asleep and concede, we can moan all we like, but at the end of the day, if we made an attempt to even get forward we could have scored, they didn't make us look ridiculous at the back all day long.
We can make excuses all we like, it's an easy out to blame the ref/FA, they didn't make our defence as shocking as they were, they didn't make us fall asleep either. We could have easily scored or easily defended the goal, in those last few minutes, but we didn't. And that's no ones fault but our own.
Excuses are no good to us, and I can't believe how many people are whining about the FA, oh the whole world's out to get us..ffs.
We had a chance to win the game, we didn't, our fault, no ones elses. It's about time we took responsibilty for our own actions, or in this case, lack of actions. The time for excuses (I would have thought) is over..apparently not.
I don't normally have a go at other Blues but for what it's worth-I think you're a closet rag...If you're not, then I certainly don't know any other City fan who constantly takes the opposite line over any sort of controversy and does us down the way you always seem to.If you're not slagging Steven Ireland then you're giving us a lecture in humility.
Still-each to his own.
And for what it's worth-it's fuck all to do with "conspiracy" theories and everything to do with
Consistancy. And not the sort of "consistancy" that you get at the swamp. It's happened too many times mate.
Oh that's right, anyone who uses a tad bit of common sense is a RAG.
Nobody made us make the mistakes we've made. We could have scored in the last few minutes, and there'd be no talk of corrupt FA and all that.
Man U/Chelsea/Liverpool..etc don't win the titles year in year out because of "corrupt officials" (which ye have no evidence to prove) they win it because they are the best teams out there, it's as simple as that.
Like I said, no one would be talking about the "corrupt" FA if we'd have scored.
It's about time we stopped blaming everyone and every thing but ourselves.
There were two sets of teams on that pitch, nobody made us stop playing, we did that ourselves. That wasn't down to a ref/the FA. And nobody made United go on and attack, but they did, because teams that win titles are teams that play right till the final whistle, we didn't, they did, and that's why we lost.
The ref isn't psycic, he wasn't to know our defence would be as bad as it was, or that Man U would score (especially Owen.) Blamming the ref is a cowards way out, we need to admit our faults, fix them and move on, instead of blaming everyone else around us.
As simple as that. We'd control over our result, of our actions, and we let ourselves down. Our defence fell asleep, we didn't bother attacking, and we lost. Our fault, nobody elses, not matter how long people try to convince us otherwise.
We made a mistake, several in the game as our defence was appauling, and it cost us. We need to accept that and move on, instead of blaming everyone but ourselves.
Instead you've deluded people going around trying to convince eachother that all of the likes of Man U's dominance is because of corrupt FA officials, and lucky breaks. I mean, get a grip, when are people going to talk sense and accept fact. They win or Chelsea or Liverpool, and the boys in Europe..Barca and co, win because they are 99% of the time, the better team on the pitch all season. And that comes out at the end of the road.
And if you look at any true champions in ANY sport, they're not the type to go around blaming everyone else for their faults, and if we've any aspirations at all to finish top of the table, we should do the same.
And I "have a go" at Ireland because of his pathetic actions in the Irish camp. Nothing to do with anything other then that.
