Does anyone think we'll be better with Nasri??

Can we merge this thread now please seen as there was no need it for it in the first place and all.

It was a general question and opinion that was city related. Please remind me what forums are for as I've clearly mistook the general idea.

Yes.

He will definitely add to the creativity in midfield. We have been lucky last year with Silva's fitness. We look short of ideas without him and being able to turn to a player of Nasri's quality should the magic man get injured (God forbid) will be a massive plus.

Nasri is arguably the best back up for Silva of all the current players in the in terms of creativity and I can see RM going with both of them in the same side when playing one up front.

I'm guessing Mancini? Do I win a prize?

Because I don't.

A lad at work said if City gets Nasri that we'll be a real threat, i simply said we are already a threat but he disagreed and said with Nasri we'll be better but i believe we'll just be stronger as with Nasri we're strengthening a position we're already quality in.

I'll only think we're getting better once we strengthen our weak points i.e the wing.

Think about what Nasri's strengths are:
speed, skill, ball carrying, dribbling, counter attacking, taking a team from defence to attack at pace, goal scoring from midfield, good passing........

Then remember these facts..
Premier League away from home against last seasons top half teams:
P9 W1 D2 L6 F6(4 of them at Fulham) A12 Pts5/27

Premier League away from home at the other top 6 clubs:
P5 W0 D2 L3 F1 A8 Pts2/15

Europa League away:
P5 W1 D2 L2 F3 A7

What do you think we had missing in these games? Yes someone with all the attributes that Nasri possess! Samir Nasri is the absolute number one player we need to make us a threat away from home against good teams.

Is that your team on football manager?

Yes, we will be stronger with him. Good players enjoy playing with good players and he will fit in with Dave Silva, Sergio etc They will move around, operate in between the lines and cause chaos for defenders to pick up.

Will be a great addition to the squad

Will be in rotation with Silva, you can't expect him to play over 60 games, and he played more than most last season
We look poor when silva is out

See this is what I thought, either that or instead of 2 holding midfielders have 2 attack midfielders Nasri and Silva but this means dropping Yaya or De Jong.......

Hence why I think we'll be stronger its not an implication on how good I think Nasri is/isn't because there's no doubt the guy is class.

You seem to be missing the main point which is that we can't play the same 11 in 60+ games if we want to be successful.

So would you rather have Nasri or SWP? Because basically that's who he's replacing in the SQUAD.

I dont think Nasri is a good signing tbh.
I just havent seen enough good games from him but plenty where he has gone missing.

I am not going to boo him or slag him off every game but i just think for the 25m? or whatever we have signed him for when he would be more than half that in Jan is crazy.

I am open to be proven wrong and i hope he settles quickly so he can prove it.

i think bobbys ideal is to have three behind a main striker with the three changing and linking up out wide, down the middle and up front wherever theres been space left by the opposition

If Silva gets injured then who have we currently got that can create ? When Silva was out last season we saw how much we missed a player of that ilk.

So in answer to your question, yes...most definitely yes !

Absolutely! He is unlike any of our other attacking midfielders and really isn't a like-for-like with Silva. Nasri creates a fraction of the chances Silva does but dribbles more and scores more.
