Does the constant slander about City bother you?

In all honesty, yes it does bother me. I’m fed up constantly correcting my brother in law, in particular, who supports Liverpool (who else?) and other members of the wife’s extended family. Strangely enough it’s the United and Liverpool supporters that seem most bothered. Strange that isn’t it. Her West Ham supporting older brother doesn’t have the same problem.

What it has done though is, it has diminished my love of the game as it stands at the moment. Seeing what it has become and other fans showing a complete lack of self awareness in having got the game in the shit it’s in.

In short football is not a sport anymore it’s a business. Any pretence of it being a sport has been totally killed off and we have a management that is better at business than the cabal that is trying to react constantly to our innovation to get around their constant shifting of the level playing field.

The fact we play beautiful football just keeps me interested, but the pretence of sport is gone.

Sadly, I tend to agree...

Good company then

Manchester United is partnered with a Myanmar bank that funded genocide

For more than a year now, Manchester United has been partnered with a direct funder of the 2017 Rohingya genocide.

I'm sure you all heard about this in the press though. Probably got wall to wall coverage right?
I find myself reading at least one article a day from the Harris’s, delaney et al, on united, Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea’s City’s dubious multiple and varied sponsorship’s and owner shenanigans.

Indeed. We've seen in recent times, particularly in the 1930's and 1940's how words lead to actions.

There's no doubt that much of the lies and smears are driven by other clubs and their lickspittles in the media. I always believed in the past that journalists were seekers of facts, tellers of truths and enemies of injustice. But this current crop of football journalists are (to quote Aneurin Bevan) lower than vermin.

They've whipped up xenophobia and outright racism. None are remotely bothered about facts, fairness or the consequences of their words. They spew out just what their puppet masters, be they club PR teams, agents, advertisers, even political entities, tell them to write.

For those saying they're not bothered, well that's great but I've suffered personally at the hands of some of these lowlife pieces of shit. Delaney, Corbett, the two Harrises, have themselves attacked me directly, and encouraged others to do so.

They've formally complained about me to my employer and to City. Fortunately both stood firm but they could easily have cost me my livelihood, simply because I've stood up and defended my club. They were happily prepared to ruin me and that certainly bothers me.

Fortunately some stood shoulder-to-shoulder with me and they suffered as well. I know two people who were driven to being treated for depression by these shitbags. And those shitbags will think that's a job well done. That's how low they are.

Everyone who considers themselves a City fan absolutely SHOULD be bothered by this constant outpouring of uninformed drivel, slander and outright lies. It's a war and you're all in the trenches whether you like it or not.
I didn't know what you were going through behind the scene's and I know it probably means nothing but I just felt that I have to tell you how much you helped me understand FFP at the time. I didn't understand any of it but by reading your posts I learned enough to argue City's case against the average fan to the point were all they could come back with was Emptihad replies. I also saw fans using your posts to discredit "journalists" posts to the point that they made it obvious they didn't understand FFP. In the middle of that storm you definitely did your bit keeping us up to date with every twist and turn. I'm sorry about the shit they put you through and I should have thanked you at the time.

The slander will continue for years to come, until City’s fan base reaches the required level for click through domination

I know they're biased against us, jealous of our riches, and constantly trying to belittle our accomplishments, and for that they're all cunts.
But I honestly wish we hadn't made things worse by chucking 100 million at Grealish. A player, let's face it, we didn't need.
Maybe I'm being overly sensitive but that's how I feel and I can't help it.
