Does Vinny come in a centre half and Lescott to left back, I think it is an option that would give us much more aerial strength. Does anybody think this is an option or would Wayne Bridge keep his place?
I've said it on here before and I'll say it again - I'm aware that people will disagree but Lescott is not good enough. He is weak in the air defensively, loses his man from set pieces regularly and is far too quick to go to ground. Centre half is our missing link; improve here and we will make even more serious progress.
I don't agree. All teams concede goals from set pieces. Our problem is teams have Sussed us out. They know our keeper won't come for a punch, so they aim for the six yard line where it's more a 50/50 chance. Ok, Barry got done last night but the 3 we've conceded from set pieces were all top class deliveries. The west ham one was just lucky.

Would be very harsh to drop Bridge in my opinion.
I rather think that Hughes will stick with Toure and Lescott and try and get them playing and gelling together as much as possible.
This is going to sound daft, but.. I dunno where I'd put Kompany in the team, but I'd definitely put him in there nevertheless!
no the only option for VK is at centre back with toure going to right back in my opinion, bridge gives us a threat going forward that lescott can not.
it seems VK will have to wait for his opportunity to get in the side.
