Prior to his statement I'd not heard Cummings speak.
But in this clip he comes across as a right shifty, slippery individual:
Further the Times on Saturday were speculating he'd quit in just over 6 months once a no deal Brexit has been achieved (and by extension that's all he's really bothered about)
No he’s addicted to power. People like him don’t walk away - he’s running the show in Whitehall - he now has exclusive power to hire and fire at the Cabinet Office. He ain’t going anywhere. His primary objective is Brexit but that’s closely followed by a plan to destroy the civil service and replace it with a US politicised system with politically motivated judiciary etc.
This seems to be a reasonable assessment of his intentions (not that the intentions themselves are reasonable). It'd be easier for him to brazen it out if he thinks he's just going to be there for 6 months. But as you say, power is addictive.
A lot of wishful thinking in there.I believe that Bozo will be gone shortly after the Summer Recess.
With the Daily Mail and The Times turning on him, his days are numbered.
Some Cabinet Ministers have been openly "unsupportive" and rumours quite a few are fed up with his ineptitude.
Gove has been unusually quiet over the past three months, so expect someone else to "lead the rebellion" so he can be the voice to unite the party
A lot of wishful thinking in there.
Chinese wonder?Do you think for one second I want that Chinese wonder in Number ten
I'm guessing you mean chinless wonder rather than Chinese wonder but can't be arsed reading before posting.
Stick with smarmy git for Gove.
