It's a free country and he's entitled to defend himself. I am not one of his fans but I'm prepared to hear what he has to say rather than believe what the mainstream media has reported. He has managed to unite two of the most dishonest media outlets in the UK, the Daily Mail and the Guardian. That's quite an achievement.

He is in contempt of Parliament - until he rocks up there and answers questions that Parliament has to answer there is no way he deserves this platform
