I have no penchant for you telling me what is or isn't good for us as you mention you are non British so your pov is of no interest to the debate ** ****** .No consideration should be given to losers.

The remainers lost and still you do not grasp the basics of democracy. Its not too difficult if you will only apply your mind lad.
Margins matter little. They lost the vote and should grow a pair.
Do you not believe in democracy Jazz ?

So this is your idea of excellent debate? I wish I hadn't bothered.

Being British has no bearing on one's ability to judge the quality of any future deals with the EU. You simply won't be getting a better deal, take it as my European judgement if you must.
And no, I don't really believe in democracy because too large a portion of the electorate nowadays seems ill-informed or ill-equipped to be considered as informed citizens.

An unreserved apology.I did not have a scooby doo what Sean was waffling about in his repost mentioning bad form.
The above post should have read to the debate on brexit. That is what that single post was all about as you can clearly see.
Not about trump or the american people which you are free to sulk and winge about without fear of impunity.
You may indeed debate the issue on brexit Jazz but have no right to dictate the anti concerning what or what is not good for us all.
We the people of the united kingdom will decide that for ourselves through self determination which we did at the ballot box.Did you forget ? Mais oui !

On the subject of bad form may I refer you to your comments on uneducated people voting.
In all my days I have never heard such an uneducated statement.Bad form old boy bad form.
But I can forgive you for your inadequesies owing to your limitation of the subject matter but I confess I was somewhat suprised by your pal Sean who knows a bob or two about politics holding the same view. You may apologise in your own good time for this outrageous of statements.

As quick as I came I must now return but bid you all a pleasant evenings rant.
You do not spend nearly eight years on this Moons surface without getting to learn the ropes.
I am now self administering a thread ban.Yes Yes I know I am setting a president but where I tread others may follow allowing us to grow as an online forum in harmony and peaceful endevour.

There are many who leave before their ten year tenure is complete. Some return as reincarnations but not many make the grade.
So keep your heads down behave yourselves and think before you post !
I have enjoyed our little chat.

What on earth are you on about?
I didn't dictate anything to anyone. I simply gave my assessment of the situation in which I think the UK currently finds itself, it's my observation as an outsider and a European.
You can safely agree or disagree without any further consequence as it is just my "brazen" opinion.
I've said you're free to shoot yourself in the foot, three times now. How on earth do you equate that with not being able to exercise your right to self-determination?
Incidentally, it was a footnote to a ream of remarks regarding Trump, which you have happily ignored while persisting to go off on this tangent.

It's ironic that you so eagerly insist that I know little on the subject of democracy and are so outraged over comments regarding ill-equipped and ill-informed people.
Perhaps I should've qualified that, contrary to the compulsary voting system here in Belgium, the right to vote already filters out a lot of those people, as they often simply obstain, but there are still plenty of people who vote that shouldn't be allowed anywhere near a ballot box.

Democracy, or rule by majority, is more than telling other people what to do, more than gloating and saying that the "losers" should grow a pair.
Democracy requires a certain degree of responsibility.
Had you actually known anything about democracy, then you would've known that: "An informed citizenry is the bulwark of a democracy and that whenever people are well-informed they can be trusted with their own government. An educated citizenry is therefore a vital requisite for the survival of a free people.
If a nation expects to be ignorant and free, in a state of civilization, it expects what never was and never will be." - Thomas Jefferson.

Sadly these days the 'well-informed citizenry' is in danger of becoming a 'well-amused audience', hence my reservations regarding democracy.
It's not a perfect system and people simply seem to take their right to vote for granted without assuming any responsibility.

Also, I don't need or care for your forgiveness "for my inadequesies owing to my limitation of the subject matter",-whatever that means. You simply don't know me, at all.
In actual fact, I believe it is really you who should be apologising, for knowing fuck all about the subject whilst still having the temerity to 'lecture' on it.

Anyway, I'll leave you to ponder some more Jefferson
I think by far the most important bill in our whole code is that for the diffusion of knowledge among the people. No other sure foundation can be devised, for the preservation of freedom and happiness…Preach, my dear Sir, a crusade against ignorance; establish & improve the law for educating the common people. Let our countrymen know that the people alone can protect us against these evils [tyranny, oppression, etc.] and that the tax which will be paid for this purpose is not more than the thousandth part of what will be paid to kings, priests and nobles who will rise up among us if we leave the people in ignorance.

First charges have been filed in the Mueller investigation. Fox is reporting that there is new pressure from republicans for Mueller to resign.
