While there is no doubt this is a big step, it’s just that, a step. And NK are well known to back out of things once they get what they feel they want.

On one note. The level hypocrisy of the US media about this is insane. I can’t find the video at the moment but it showed the same reporters saying how Obama meeting Kim would be a travesty and the worst thing in the world the USA could do, but now it’s trump it’s the best thing ever.

Well, he's either just negotiated N.Korean nuclear disarmament, or planning permission for a Trump Tower and golf complex in Pyonyang.

In all seriousness, it sounds like he's come away with an agreement to work towards denuclearisation, which is pretty nothing above what they were already working towards anyway.

This is not fake news; it's non-news. Scrape away all the pomp and ceremony, and the basically, they have just agreed practically the same as was agreed with S.Korea back in April. Historic? Yes, but a huge propaganda win for N.Korea.

I'd argue Trump has done far more to destabilise global relations than bring us closer to World peace. He picked a fight with Canada ffs.

In a week he's legitimised North Korea and committed to the same process that NK agreed to in 1992 and 2005 and said he has a special bond with the dictator Kim Jong-Un - whilst his administration has said there is a special place in hell for the Canadian Prime Minister.

The guy cannot do anything right . Taken on its own I think this is a good step - I have visited Korea a few times and I am hopeful this is the start of something special for the peninsula and its people.
