My point here is that all of this is predicated on the idea of removing Trump and that's where these things are going. The accusations about why he's unfit for office move as the evidence does.

Essentially, it's a bad science experiment. They've (The political opponents of Trunp) already determined the conclusion. The hypothesis just changes until they find the right experiment to reproduce the results.

I'm not suggesting some grand conspiracy, I was referring more to his opponents on social media but that certainly seeps into political institutions, of course it does. They're made up of people and people aren't unbiased

The Special Counsel was not appointed by Trump's political opponents.

The reasons why he's unfit for office aren't changing. All the original reasons still stand and these various investigations are just uncovering more.

If you're not suggesting a conspiracy then how can all of Trump's political opponents have determined a conclusion? Particularly when they're not involved in the non-partisan investigation.

The Special Councel, Robert Muller is a Republican, and has no axe to grind with Trump.

Unfortunately, thanks to Trump's incessant lying, quite a few now believe he's a Democrat.

James Comey is also a Republican. As are the vast majority of high level CIA and FBI officials.

So they went in looking for treason and found some financial irregularities which they're now happy to pursue because they believe it will ultimately serve their end goal of removing the President. Treason was the excuse, removal is the goal.

If only there was a common term for this type of investigation.

This is a real stretch. Trump was considered a liar, fraudster, tax dodger and affiliate of low life wheeler dealers (criminals) and that accusation has been consistent through all of this. He had a number of 'issues' hanging over him before he even ran for office.

That said if he had not clearly engaged with some terrible people and colluded with Russians none of this would have happened. However there are some facts that can not be ignored, the Russians interfered and it was clear enough for the Republican led senate to appoint a republican (Muller) to investigate the russian involvement and tak ethe investigation where ever it needed to go.

Not sure how you can suggest it is anything other than a legitimate investigation that has already produced results.

To say that this is going on just to remove Trump from office is completely disingenuous. There is proof that Russia interfered in the 2016 election. If Trump can be linked to this (and it is looking increasingly likely) then it brings the whole democratic system into question.

It would appear they've found plenty but presumably are finding more.
The emails associated with the Trump Tower meeting in June 2016 is the main evidence that's in the public domain but it wouldn't surprise me if that's just the tip of the iceberg.

Personally I think what will do for Trump will be the stink of corruption and not building the wall.

The Russia fallout will be long term damage to US/Russian relations post Trump. Trump is a humiliation for the US and that humiliation will need taking out on someone.

And I cant see anything wrong with that. That is how investigations work, other things fall out of them. Doesnt make it a witch hunt, it makes it transparent and shows integrity. Something lacking in Trump and his gang of criminal cronies
