At this point it says more about you if you're an intelligent person and still supporting Donald Trump

I used to believe that but now I know college educated people who can literally justify everything he does. I had a guy telling me how great of a guy Putin is and that it's great that Dumb Donald is believing him. I mentioned that Putin carried out chemical attacks on his opponents/detractors and his theory was that it was actually his opponents/detractors who were doing it and trying to frame him. This is a guy who owns his own business, travels the world and employs a lot of people.

At this point we have Democrats who at least have some self-awareness and the ability to be critical of themselves and republicans who are a bunch of brainwashed cult members who are following an obvious con man.

I have spoken with highly educated (UK Masters Degree equivalent qualified engineers) who are exactly the same. Trump can do nothing wrong in their eyes.

It’s a way of binding his supporters even more tightly to him. The rationale is that without him their world will crash and only he can guarantee their security. So ignore the press, ignore the guilty convictions, ignore everything but what I say. It’s a cult mentality where you willingly hand over your life savings and drink the poison. It’s how religions work. Faith beats facts. Perception trumps reality. Literally.

What he's failed to mention is that since its peak in January the Dow has fallen 3% and the S&P has barely changed. If you count his first year as the hangover from the previous administration, his policies haven't done particularly well. In fact the US markets have broadly done the same as most of the major markets around the world so he has had little impact. I suspect any impending impeachment would be a boost to the markets due to the prospect of the trade wars ending.

The real problem is that we have term limits. It's horrifying to realize that in a little over two years everything will come crashing down because only he is qualified to save us. Our only hope is to find somebody who has failed in six businesses and filed for bankruptcy in each of them and get them some experience hosting a bad game show.

Very true.

Another good one he claims is that unemployment among blacks and Hispanics is at an all-time low because of his policies. When President Obama took over it was around 15% and he got it down to 7%, under Dumb Donald it fell another half percent and he claims it's all because of him.
