I’ve never met someone who likes Donald Trump. Or more importantly believes he’s a good president with the nation’s best interests at heart.

They obviously exist because he was elected. Strange times.

I live in Kirkland Washington - very close to Seattle - an anti-Trump stronghold by any measure of the term.

And yet, in 2016 - just prior to the election - I encountered some white, over-40 male in a coffee shop proclaiming that he'd recently gone around Mercer Island (adjacent to Seattle - a liberal bastion) and encountered nothing but support for Trump. Moreover, he disavowed his daughter's left-leaning sympathies as naive. The supposed minority left-leaning individuals he'd met were, he claimed, gay/trans-gender, bar-hoping, non-white miscreants - the right had the clear majority.

I fucking really wanted to get up and punch that asshole as hard as I could in the face.

I'm getting the picture. What I would say from a republican point of view, they are correct.
He is a poor witness for the democrats as his character is very easily torn apart. It is easy enough to pour doubt on his testimony.

Regardless it is very interesting. I haven't heard anything yet that I can see sticking on Trump though.

For the tax you guys pay, it’s not left leaning to believe that people should get treatment at hospital without it bankrupting them and that they should be helped financially during hard times.

We get that in the UK and pay less tax.
