34% of americans do not hold a passport, and 34 states enforce a law requiring I.D in order to vote, so a lot of the population is alienated to begin with. so evidently the racist, xenophobic, homophobic, religious cranks were all that was left and they voted Trump in. most have an overblown case of self importance of living in the " greatest country in the world" but have never stepped outside of it.

Easy there mate, this is a touchy subject for us. I'm as depressed as the next liberal, but we don't need any Presidents shot ever again. Period. :(

in my long life there have been several wars, political upheavals, social reforms. The Cuban missile crisis, the ending of apartheid, the implosion of communism, the ending of racially-motivated laws in the US, the hijacking and destruction of the labour party, the rise of the gutter press and it's influence on major decisions, alongside parliament being shown as not fit for purpose. Evolution seems to have stalled. Progress replaced by regression, intelligence replaced by greed, tolerance by bigotry, in essence rich is good poor is bad.
Brexit and now Trump, both heavily backed by murdoch, has the potential to be the biggest fuck-up of all time, the only consolation is that those who voted for them will be shafted as well.

Yeah, completely legalised for recreational use and OK to grow it yourself if you're over 21. Same in Maine, Massachusetts and Nevada.
