Republicans have a 44-seat margin in the House — largest since 1928. GOP has 4-seat margin in the Senate. They don't need the Dems to pass a vote. This bill wasn't good enough for their own party after 7 years of criticism of Obamacare.

There was no vote. Worried how it would clearly show the large number of Republicans against it Trump decided against public embarrassment of losing the first big vote.194 Democrats all voted against it, while just a handful of Republicans were against it. Their problem, they aren't willing to help fix it.
No seriously, it even took Obama a year to pass Obamacare. Trump thought he could fast track it. It didn't work, now he'll have to listen to the conservatives in the near future once the healthcare debate begins again. All parties will be desperate to pass something as Midterm elections creep up, and eventually a compromise would be struck. No side wants to give in this early, unfortunately. Until then, we get to see Obamacare destroy itself.
It comes to something when the Republicans might hope and wait for Obamacare to fail rather than pass a better healthcare bill.

The only people that lose here are the American public. Obabmacare is failing but the new bill was a piece of shit too. Lose/lose situation for them.Not saying he won, but he didn't lose either.
The NYT is reporting Trump and aides pushed for a health vote so they could shame Republicans who opposed it. Paul Ryan talked them down.
