Donald Trump

We shouldn't really care about it anymore tbh. The Americans who voted for this insane sexual predator knew what they were voting for.

My sympathy for citizens of the most powerful and richest country in the history of the world, willingly committing self-harm Isn't particularly high.
In very crude terms, this is how I feel, although I realise many Americans will be among biggest victims in this.

It also makes me sad about human nature. As you say, the wealthiest country in the world decides to elect, again as you say, an insane sexual predator who previously tried to stage a coup, despite his complete disregard for the environment because he’ll bring the price of fuel and eggs down, is completely depressing and underlines why humanity is fucked. All most people care about is themselves.

There are very few animals on the planet that show empathy, humans being one of them. Sadly, human empathy seems to be waning somewhat over recent years. Some people are becoming more and more selfish. Arseholes the lot of them

Where living standards have risen, human beings have generally become less considerate and kind, and more angry and disillusioned. Most Americans today have riches beyond the imagination of their predecessors in the 1950s (for example) and yet I’d say they were much less happy, as evidenced by the industrial quantities of prescription drugs and extreme levels of violence in contemporary US society. It’s not just a US phenomenon, but given living standards there, and the level of division and disharmony in that country, I’d say it was the exemplar.

How are we ever goi g to save, or even fix the planet when people operate on this level. People don’t want to give up what they’ve got, and it’s why we’re fucked.
