Irrespective of the news coverage, any rational person only had to take a look at the mad **** who was running for office, listen to the unadulterated shite that came out of his mouth, along with his manifest grifting that any person with any sense of street-smart should be able to spot a mile off, irrespective of their educational qualifications, to form the view that he was plainly unfit for office.As a whole, they actually weren't warned, and that's been evident in some of the conversations I've had with people post-election.

On the one hand no-one could have predicted in June 2016 how things would develop in the States, but equally if you make reckless choices then there are usually consequences that flow from that in ways you cannot predict at the time you make them.
Our relationship with the US will need to be completely recalibrated, I’m afraid. It’s very sad, but they’ve made their choice and we need to look after ourselves.
